And you want the federal government to invest in unproven, unethical, and probably junk-science?

How so? Why not life over death? Why must we destroy the ones needing protecting for our own bodily comfort? Because that is what this is about. Not religion. Destroy a life in order for Tom in the wheelchair or Susan with diabetes to overcome their handicap or illness. Sounds awfully selfish to me.

I know it destroys your entire 'point,' but I never said a word about not criticizing the President.
I only said one should not show complete and utter disrespect and disdain for the man of integrity who is leading us in time of war.
And I believe most conservatives agree with that principle.

It's too bad that FR attracts not just conservatives, who should be hailing this veto today for a number of reasons, but also libertarians, who are not only ticked off at this veto, but whose main objectives are to have government legalize drugs and prostitution.

You do realize that it is PERFECTLY Legal for PRIVATE funders to do this research. I oppose the bill only because it is spending government money that the private firms could do a better job of instead.

Bush is going to have to do a good job of explaining why he finally chose to exercise the veto hero, because the media and the Dems will spin this one big time, with people in wheelchairs and the whole nine yards. And I suppose you'll be right there cheering on their lies and spin.

You make a very good point.
These women will be 'egg producers.'
It's amazing that the so-called feminists not only want to murder unborn baby girls, but now want to use women's bodies to produce embryos, half of which are female, and all of which will be killed.
Some culture we are in, isn't it?

As a TRUE libertarian I opposed this bill because it is an unnecessary spending of TAXPAYERS money. Too many "libertarians" love taxpayers funding their pet projects.

Sorry, I jumped on you too soon. You're right...He is going to have to do a good job explaining this veto, but the MSM and the Democrats have shown they won't listen to reason. But you're right.
With all of the naysayers who have come out of the woodwork to post their negative energy on this thread, I'm blasting away at any moving object, and I may have inflicted "friendly fire" colateral damage. I apologize.

Why would you mock the President for standing firmly for what he believes is morally right?Because they don't believe in an objective morality. Libertarians are no better than the radical secularists on the left -- they would both tear the moral center out of the nation so they can indulge in their own degrading life choices.
