Heinz Kerry-Funded Web Site Praises Hezbollah
NewsMax. ^ | June 15, 2004 | NewsMax.

Posted on 07/18/2006 9:27:38 PM PDT by george76

A Web site partially funded by Teresa Heinz Kerry offers a report glorifying Hezbollah (Hizbullah) suicide bombers as "deified in paradise and venerated on earth for fighting Israel" - and praises the terrorist group's support network for women widowed by their husband's "martyrdom" attacks.

"Women's eNews is supported by our readers; reprints and licensing fees; and the Fund for the City of New York, the Teresa and H. John Heinz III fund of the Heinz Family Foundations, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Barbara Lee Family Foundation, the Rockefeller Family Fund, The Helena Rubinstein Foundation, the Sister Fund, the Starry Night Fund."

First noted yesterday by OpinionJournal.com, the Heinz Kerry-funded report reads like a recruiting brochure for suicide bombers. Here are some highlights:

"Hizbullah has built up an impenetrable support network for the women. Through the Hizbullah martyrs' wives association some 2500 families in Lebanon receive a monthly salary, free health care and schooling for their children ...

'Anything a martyr's wife wants, we will give it to her, basically, because her husband sacrificed himself.

Have at it! One minor correction to my earlier comment: wget comes built-in with Linux, but not by default with BSD Unix (that includes MacOS-X). It is available as a free download for MacOS-X, other BSDs, and Windows.

Wget was originally designed for command line use, and most versions run that way. But there are also GUI versions that make it a little easier. There are scores of options.

Good luck!

" Voting demonrat means supporting terrorism. "

This would make a great bumper sticker that would make the liberals fume.

King James Bible.

1.
The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.

2.

"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

3.

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

God said that those who curse Israel, God will curse.

It's a good thing that John Kerry didn't win the election in 2004.

*eyes crossing* I'm sure if I really studied it, I could figure it out. I was just pointing out an easy way to see where a web site is already archived. :)

I sent your wget to my much more computer savy brother. :)

God forbid anything ever happened to TahRayZaa, would Kerry get 72 raisins as compensation?

What was her solution for arthritis? Raisins in gin? Somehow, it's all coming together, though it doesn't yet make any sense.

Here is what their current version says, vs. the 2004 version. Soros' Open Society is added, and Tides is associated with Starry Nights Fund. No more Heinz listed.

Why am I not surprised? The left has been on the wrong side of every issue for so long now that this is to be expected, I guess.

Does she have any control over the Fund, or the selection of directors? If not, her involvement is somewhat incidental; another ditzy broad gave money to some feel good "worthy" cause.

It's US or them! They have been commanded by satanallah to murder everyone, or die trying. I say we should respect this belief, and do everything possible to help them achieve it!

Absolutely. Every American should get this through their heads--even Democrats should understand this.

Sorry, but I've got to take a somewhat contrary point of view. I went to the website and read the article, and it appeared to be a fairly factual account of Hizbullah widows and how they are taken care of by the "martyrs' wives association". Its tone was sympathetic to the women, but I've seen Main Stream Media articles which were far, far more terrorist-friendly than this one.

Honestly, I agree with you 100%.

The point is that NewsMax is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Yeah...and what else is new?

To take this article, and try to paint it as terribly damning to Teresa Heinz-Kerry (and her husband) because her foundation is one of the contributors to the overall website is really grasping at straws. If this is the best NewsMax can do to attack Kerry, then it might as well throw in the towel, because it will gain zero traction with the general public.

Correct.
