This is probably one of the most terribly disturbing photoessays you will see -- And Michelle's commentary makes it even more so. The anger I feel upon viewing this and reading the title and text of the review can only be described as seething. Why so long-winded, Quix? Why not simply say, "Dear God: please remove all who disagree with me from the planet?"

If you truly want the NYT to be removed, it seems to me that you should have the guts to do it yourself, and to face the consequences of your holy murder right along with the terrorists of 9-11. Don't bring Jesus, a pacifist who was hopelessly outnumbered by the likes of you (and martyred because of it), into your hateful, violent crap. He has suffered enough and is not about to toss bombs on your behalf.

Sorry to have you wake up to see this. But the NYSlimes photographer describing Sadr's men this way is just sickening.

I've tried to open that link a couple of times and it won't open. I'll keep trying, though.

But if the NYT is supporting al Sadr in any way, that is beyond reprehensible. That creep has caused countless deaths among Americans and Iraqis. He cannot become metaphysically challenged soon enough for me.

The utopian dreamers that make up most of the management and staffs of the dinosaur media should maybe try to find real jobs anyway. It could open their eyes to some persistent realities and do them a world of good. Can you imagine the blank stares when asked in an interview, "What can you actually do?" "Well, I shoveled pig$hit for the nyt". Heh,heh.

Some times I wonder if such pictures are invented. That is. A camera person takes a picture of a staged event, then makes it look like it actually was a real event. I say this realizeing the mental set of much of the news media, go for the sensational things. They are in the business to make money. Their craft require them to find things that catch the viewers eye. Obviously they will go to any means to accomplish that objective.
