My point is it's NOT the Lebanese goverment, or even the Lebanese people. From what I've read on this no one outside of Syria, and Iran knew this was going to happen.

Ignoring for a moment United Nations Security Council Resolution 1559,
a resolution adopted by the United Nations Security Council on September 2, 2004, which called on all Lebanese militias (including Hezbollah) to disband

And just who was going to make them? Remember at that time Syria ruled Lebanon, and they still do have a great deal of influence through their security service and Hezbollah.

Your point is inaccurate.

Does Hezbollah play an active role in the Lebanese politics?

Yes. After the 2005 elections, Hezbollah won eight new seats, giving the group twenty-three seats
in the 128-member Lebanese Parliament.
In addition, Hezbollah has two ministers in the government, and a third is endorsed by the group.

Hezbollah ... participates in the Parliament of Lebanon,
taking 18% of the chairs (23 out of 128) and the bloc it forms with others,
the "Resistance and Development Bloc", a little less than 30% (see Lebanese general election, 2005).
It is a minority partner in the current Cabinet.

Question: Was the Lebanese goverment made aware of Hezbollahs plans before hand? Or did Syria Iran & Hezbollah plan it themselves.
(Note: I not saying that Hezbollah doesn't play a part in the Lebanese goverment. IMO they are there to keep an eye on thing for their masters)

"Question: Was the Lebanese goverment (sic) made aware of Hezbollahs plans before hand?"

It is surprising to find a FReeper defending terrorism and the country that began this war,
but to answer your question:

In Cairo, at the press conference, Lebanese Foreign Minister, Fawzi Salloukh, left,
speaks to reporters during a joint press conference with Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, right,
at the League's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, Friday July 14 2006.
Salloukh praised Hezbollah fighters" (that should be Hizb'allah terrorists, of course
and the praise was after the Hizb'allah missiles landed and after the IDF soldiers were captured in an act of War).

Those protesters should be carrying this classic Protest Warrior sign. It sums up their position pretty well.

Another post which created a lot of controversy was the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Hezbollah insisted on having one of their members as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Neither the UN nor the US were comfortable in dealing with a Hezbollah member. Even though Fawzi Salloukh, the newly named Minister of Foreign Affairs is a Shiite, he is independent and is neither a member of Hizbullah nor the Amal movement

My niece has been living in Beirut going to the American University there. This summer she is in Ramallah. Our good friend Kevin, who ran around with my son in high school was going to school there but he came home months ago. I had planned to visit them in two years when we are living in Muscat Oman. But now I don't think I want to live in Oman either.
