Are you suggesting that Plame should have been fired because Aldrich Ames revealed her identity?

The US Senate should hold a resolution on Monday supporting Israel. Let's see which Democrats vote for it.

Trent Lott also wants high level, hands on diplomacy in the Middle East. We need to send them all Mark Steyn's piece on "Great Men." Obviously, Steyn was a step ahead and knew there would be call for this sort of thing before the nonsensical calls for more of the same, which didn't work in the past and will not work now, even began.

Bali, Morocco, Jordan......the list is endless. Yet people live in denial thinking they are safe.

Great excerpts Peach!

I have always like Novak and consider him a relatively straight news journalist one of the few relatively straight shooters left.

I believe what he says about Pflame being outed by Aldrich Ames and feel certain that the only reason Wilson went to Niger was because his wife was in the CIA and arranged it.

I appreciated that comment too, Carolinamom. Last week my daughter asked me a question about "liberal debating tactics" which excited me because I thought she was broadening her horizons politically and thinking about something more than shopping and clubbing.

It turned out she was arguing with some schlub on myspace.com....DRAT!

It is embarrassing, how they constantly want to trot out Clinton and Bush 41...

My goodness...they had their chance...and here we are.

Excellent post. Suggested addendum is that we fail to note the irony in having the 'Zionists' do the dirty work cleaning up Hamas and Hezbollah for the likes of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, the UAE and the Saudis. Thus the hated Joos are a de facto first rate strike force to protect the unelected emirs, 'Presidents' and kings of the middle east. To get a thank you (todah) for this, the Israelis need to look under letter 't' in the dictionary.

The danger is not NK shooting a nuclear missile at us, but rather, providing nuclear weapons to terrorists. The NKs are using nuclear weapons to blackmail the West and Japan to get material assistance. It has worked in the past and will seemingly work again. This pissant country has not even tested a nuclear weapon.

NK is not suicidal. Launching a nuclear weapon against the US would be suicidal, and Kim Jong-il is a survivor who worries about his personal safety every day of the week.

I, for one, think Bush41 and his pal Clinton have had entirely too much face time on TV.

I don't wish them to enter the Carter mode of ex-presidents but those two are NOT the solution to all the world's problems.

A strong voice, think Bush43 here, is what the terrorists need to hear, not pablum from former Presidents.

Newt may just save us for '06, even if he doesn't win in '08. If he does save us in '06 by making this a top issue then he may deserve our support in '08

Uggg what is with everyone today? Doesn't anyone recognize the danger here? You really, really, really do not want to be the "Pol who cried wolf"! There is a danger in OVER selling your political position.

AT the same time the Leftists, such as today's NY Times Editorial, are running around accusing President Bush of exaggerating the Terrorist Threat the LAST thing we want is to be put in a position in Sept-Nov of trying to explain why were were screaming wolf in August! Newt has a history of overreaching? Anyone remember him asking all three networks of prime time coverage? Remember how that came back to bite us on the butt? This is the same sort of overreach here. We want to look like calm, rational adults while the Leftist paint themselves as the hysterics. Going Newts way paints us equally as hysteric. Dumb dumb dumb.

No, she should not have been fired because somebody had named her as a CIA employee. The US government should have recognized that there were too many people on the CIA payroll that no longer had any value after the Soviet Union went away. Like generals that fight the last war, the CIA was spying on the last group.

As a result, we have little working knowledge of details in the Middle East; and North Korea; and ...... the list goes on.

The private sector retail equivalent of this would be to have a warehouse full of Hula Hoops when everybody wants Beanie Babies.
