It almost makes me think that Iran already has a nuke and wants to use it, although the reality of that is that Israel would nuke them into submission/extinction.

I read it that way too -- and a heavy ransom for the return of the soldiers. That won't happen.

Don't forget the Sampson option. Israel WILL win. One way or the other.

I was in my car the day this thing started and came upon a guy that called his show "Hardball", but I don't remember his name. How are you getting Chris Matthews in your car?
To: RobRoy
his show "Hardball", but I don't remember his name. I think his name is Prissy Hatmews.

The "fog of war".....so many possibilities, agendas..
I'm really surprised at how FAST this has moved. NO one- including the Israelis, Iran or Syria could have predicted the way this has played out so far...

"I wonder what it is going to take for my otherwise intelligent liberal friends in Hollywood to understand that the entire civilized world is at war with militant Islam." I wish this were correct, but the reverse is true. Islam is at war with the entire civilized world, while most of the world assumes the prenatal posture and takes it.

I'm still shocked that the cables are not providing 24/7 live coverage. I guess they're waiting for the whole of the ME to blow up.

Perhaps you meant to say instead that "militant Islamofascism is at war with the entire Western civilized world."
And perhaps you also meant to say that "your otherwise pseudo intelligent, smug, arrogant, self-indulgent, condescending, predictable, cliche ridden and so called "liberal" acquaintances in Holly-weird or Hollow-wood will never understand reality even if it came up and bit them on their pampered little a$$es."
There, is that better? (No offense intended.) Thank you.

Your first part correction - about who is at war with whom - is apt.
Your second is funny, but way off, and - if I may say - rather cliche-ridden.
I've worked in this town for 25 years. A lot of these libs are very smart, hardworking and disciplined - not pampered and self-indulgent. I have had lots of long political discussions with them. It's fascinating and frustrating to me that they don't understand what is happening, and what needs to be done. They have blind spots, or something.
I will never give up trying to persuade them. The insights and analyses and wonderful information I pick up from FR are all very helpful in my efforts.

Look at what Ahmadinejad has said publicly about creating conditions which would hasten the return of the hidden imam.

Very good point, not to be overlooked and needs to be said again and again.
Ahmadinejad's goal is to hasten the return of the 12th Imam.

Iran plans to take two Israeli soldiers abducted by Hizbullah.
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
Like putting a bullseye on your back. Israel doesn't need any excuses to attack Iran at this point. this will just give them justification. I doubt Iran will go for this, they want no part of the Israeli military.

>If this pans out, and the kidnapped soldiers are paraded before TV in Iran
I cannot believe
even the Muslims would be
so dumb as to take
Jews into Iran.
Right now, Israel has no
definitive cause
to wipe out Iran.
If Iran involves itself
that is all she wrote . . .
(In fact, if Iran
does show captured Israelis
on Iran TV,
I might just wonder
if the Mossad has brainwashed
some Iran big-wig!)
