Agreed, but sitting where they do, I imagine they hope to keep their heads down and not make enemies on either side, perhaps help on the sly but not publically.
One thing I've always noticed with Russian friends and with young Russian students visiting is how much more they know about our own government than we do - and it's literally all they talk about.

I totally agree. I wouldn't be surprised to see the draft reinstated before christmas if this escalates. This must be stopped once and for all.
From Mark Regev (Israeli Foreign Min. spokesman): The Israeli command is planning on closing schools, restaurants, etc. and telling it's citizens to bunker down. It's giving the "Home Command" military to close down public and private institutions to save life.

I think I heard someone say that allows them to order schools closed, etc.
