I hadn't thought of it that way, RE: the new generation of Israeli military.

Israel does have a great reputation...and they have been treated miserably for so long...I am sure that their military is itching to just get it done.

You are waaay off-topic on a busy thread. Other than that, I don't care one way or another about what you have to say

And in case my meaning is not coming through I'm calling the Syrians and Iranians cowards.

I think you're right, but let's say for the sake of argument, that ONE guy with a suicide bomber mentality managed to work his way to the top.(In Tehran, for example) He's got the necessary fanaticism, but also is smart enough and patient enough to wait for the weapon he needs, or the opportunity etc.

Is it possible to profile that personality? Do you think Israel has the experience and the confidence to think they can predict that behavior?

Just thinking out loud, would be interested in others thoughts on the personalities involved in this.(on all sides)

The thought occured to me. If they do, then it will mean the USA gets involved for sure and WWIII will be in play without question.

I signed up the other day, but I dont even have cable. It was interesting seeing Hezbollah TV for a while...they showed this war video with a live orchestra playing in the background. Also watched Israel TV for a while on another feed..they also showed the So Cal Brush fires a little and a plane crash in New Jersey....

From what I read earlier, you sound like the minority report. We were out to dinner and I'm waiting until 11p.m. (AZ Time) to watch the re-run, but I heard him on Hannity's radio show today and he still pi$$ed me off, couldn't hold his temper.

Yes, you are right. That is why I think the American goverment is reluctant to evacuate our citizens right now. However, as long as Americans stay in Christian areas and keep a low profile while avoiding Hezbollah controlled areas, they should be okay, IMHO.

I dont think we will get involved....unless we get shot at, and then it will be a proportional response.

Of course, who knows where bombs fall from the heavens....especially if Israel is threatened in a major way.

Most of the lefties I have heard...have been saying that Bush doesn't care about Israel...Bush hasn't paid attention to the Middle East..

From the right---Bush doesn't back up Israel...Bush wants to appease like always....Bush should be in Washington right NOW, not at the G-8 summit.

AS USUAL...whatever Bush is/isn't doing, is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

So...is it worth the $$$$, in your opinion?

Well...you don't have cable..so you can't tell me if it is worth it...while having access to the cable channels..

oh, well---maybe you can give us any interesting takes from that site...

This is scary, if Syria and Iran can't stay out of this and come at Israel from all directions, then what? Do we stand by and let them keep Ami's vow to anialate them? If not, how long do we stand on the sidelines?

~LOL~ Close, Anderson Cooper.. he's a pretty gutsy guy, he tries to report and not pontificate and isn't afraid to get right into the middle of his reporting. A few weeks ago he was on LK and they showed tape of some of his early reporting days from the Sudan and other hot spots.

The alternative scenario you suggest is plausible lawnguy, and if I'm Israel I'm not going to wait to find out. I'm guessing this is where you wanted to take the discussion and, make no mistake about it, I do believe the Israeli fears are well-founded. There is no paranoia there at all in my opinion.

But I'm betting the Iranians and Syrians like their "sit back and let the surrogates die" game a bit too much to give it up just yet. This is what Israel is really driving home right now. Syria and Iran can talk all they want to, but it is now time to put up or rant insignificantly. (I just can't post "shut up" where the Syrians and Iranians are concerned, can I?)

I don't have cable, and it's been worth every penny so far. :) It's like what? 3 bucks a month? and the streams are fast and you can monitor 4 feeds at a time. :)

I've ben happy with it... I just wish Fox News would do something similar... or any tv channel for that matter... We should be able to pay for just the channels we want to watch. :) Viva La Future!
