Getting a bit over the top. Israel has shown extreme restraint in exercising their nuclear option. The closest they came was the '73 YomKippor war. They are like us, they will hold back until they are hit with NBC or there is no question or doubt that Iran has a bomb. The they will cry havoc and release the dogs of war.

This is going to sound extreme, but I just finished my second very strong margarita, so my inhibitions have gone flying out the window . . . I hope that it does go nuclear. Before you flame me, let me explain my reasoning. I hope the Palestinians or Hezbollah use a dirty bomb. Why? Because then the Israelis can respond with nuclear force without being handcuffed by "world opinion." I believe that these terrorists have to be annhilated. They are evil. Period. Exclamation point. This is a religious war, whether anyone wants to admit it or not. The very survival of civilization depends on the outcome of this struggle. Thus, the sooner that the handcuffs of "world opinion" are loosed from the Israelis, the sooner the ultimate resolution of this epic struggle can be realized. OK, have at me. Good questions, although I think I would change it from 'this war' to when will the mideast regional conflict (assault on Israel) go nuclear.

Its bound to happen with Israel most likely being the first to get nuclear blood drawn against it.

The US presence in Iraq has been and will be pivotal in many ways. Who really knows what the assets are (including ABM) that we have operational there even now.

There is no reason for this to go nuclear, but if we allow Ahmadinejad to have nuclear weapons, it will by their choice.

Mutually assured destruction is their goal, since martyrdom in the service of killing Jews gets Allah's highest blessing. Iran's goals are spiritual, not material, and the sooner the west learns that the better.
