Mission
To help Ambassador Joseph Wilson and Valerie Plame Wilson pay for the substantial legal costs associated with the illegal leaking of Mrs. Wilsons classified CIA status. This includes:
Counseling them for their potential witness testimony during the upcoming trial of Scooter Libby; and
Helping them to prepare for a civil suit that would uncover the truth surrounding the leak, ensure all relevant public officials are held accountable for actions depriving the Wilsons of their privacy and constitutional rights, and serve as a deterrent to similar crimes being committed in the future. Should the civil action result in a payment to Joe and/or Valerie Wilson that is in excess of all costs associated with their legal activities, the equivalent of all monies contributed to the Trust will be returned to the Trust. All Trust money will then be distributed by the trustees to a charitable organization(s) that works to protect government whistleblowers First Amendment rights and helps to defend them from retaliatory action.
Their Service
Ambassador Joseph Wilson and his wife, Valerie Plame Wilson, have served our country for over a combined 43 years. Valerie Plame joined the Central Intelligence Agency at the age of 22, and it has been widely reported that she worked undercover on several overseas assignments in areas related to counterterrorism and on counterproliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Ambassador Wilson was a member of the Foreign Service from 1976 through 1998. He was the acting Ambassador to Baghdad when Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990 and is credited with negotiating the release of several hundred American hostages during Desert Shield. Mr. Wilson later served as U.S. Ambassador to Gabon and São Tomé and Príncipe under President George H.W. Bush and helped direct Africa policy for the National Security Council under President Bill Clinton. In February 2002, he investigated reports of Iraqs attempt to buy uranium from Niger.
The Leak
In July 2003, Ambassador Wilson spoke out against the Bush Administrations false claim that Iraq had sought nuclear material in Africa, which had been a primary justification for going to war with Iraq. To punish and discredit Wilson and intimidate others who might come forward, senior Bush administration officials leaked to reporters the name of Wilsons wife, Valerie Plame Wilson, and her classified CIA status destroying her career and jeopardizing national security.
Following the leak, the CIA requested that the Justice Department conduct an investigation into whether the White House violated federal laws by revealing the identity of one of its undercover employees in retaliation against Ambassador Wilson. The Justice Department responded with the appointment of a special counsel, Patrick Fitzgerald. Evidence collected by Mr. Fitzgerald has shown that at least two Bush administration officials, Karl Rove and Lewis Scooter Libby, Jr., discussed Mrs. Wilsons employment at the CIA with reporters. Last October, a grand jury indicted Mr. Libby, former Chief of Staff and assistant for National Security Affairs to U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, on charges of obstruction of justice, perjury and making false statements. His trial is set to begin in 2007. In preparation for that trial, Mr. Libby has released a list of potential witnesses that includes Ambassador and Mrs. Wilson.
Those "senior Bush administration officials" would be the publisher of Who's Who and the CIA public relations office.

"Support Joe and Valerie Wilson"
A rope can be considered a support.
"with the illegal leaking"
They just can't make it past the first sentence without lying, can they?
In the mid-eighties, Wilson worked for Al Gore as a congressional staffer.
In 2000, he donated both to Vice President Gores and to George W. Bush's presidential campaigns.
In 2003, he formally endorsed John Kerry for President and donated $2,000 to his campaign.
Wilson was a supporter and donor to the Kerry/Edwards campaign for the presidency and served as an advisor and speechwriter in a "prominent role" for the Kerry campaign in 2003 and 2004
He has made contributions to the campaigns of Democratic candidates, such as Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts and Congressman Charles B. Rangel of New York, and to Republican Congressman Ed Royce of California.
He has also spoken to activist groups like Win Without War, a nonpartisan coalition of groups which oppose the war in Iraq.
According to Scott Shane of The New York Times, "Despite conservatives' efforts to portray him as a left-wing extremist, [Wilson] insisted he remained a centrist at heart. But after his tangle with the current administration, he admits 'it will be a cold day in hell before I vote for a Republican, even for dog catcher.'"
In October 2003, according to The Boston Globe, "Republican National Committee chairman Ed Gillespie said Wilson's work for Democrats may have motivated him to attack the administration."
