Not necessarily good news - he may be more useful to the terrorists as another wheelchair bound sympathy figure like that other scumbag, Yassin? It took quite awhile to finally get Yassin, IIRC, and then it was used to make Israel look bad (oh, look, they killed an old man in a wheelchair).
I hate to 2nd-guess, but isn't there a way to be more certain of killing these vermin when they have been located, i.e., couldn't there be a series of bombs rather than one? I know that increases expense and also risk of collateral damage, but it seems such a shame to have located a scumbag like Deif and now (apparently) to see him survive. Anyway, good for Israel to be taking it to the terrorists - just hope that the IAF and IDF are really being unleashed to wipe out Hamas and Hezbollah (to whatever extent possible).

If this guy had 4 hours of spinal surgery in Gaza I dont give him 10 days to survive his wounds.

Routed out and snuffed. The only solution. Terrorists understand only one thing. Force and death. Take it to them Israel...I want to see Kofi the Krook, whining and wailing as his good anti-semetic buddies get their miserable terrorist butts kicked...

I disagree, in a wheelchair he's an easier target the next time, and he'll probably have a few "wheelchair pushers" around to die with him, LOL.

Dead, paralyzed, it doesn't matter, they are a martyr to these idiot trailer park ignorant dupes of the world...
The biggest mistake Sharon ever made was not giving the order execute Arafat when his snipers had him in their sites.
Time to end this.....

Keep wounding him until he's dead.

A Hamas militant leader who has topped Israel's most-wanted list for a decade was badly wounded and underwent four hours of spinal surgery Wednesday after being wounded in an Israeli airstrike, security officials said. Missed him by THAT much!

It'll make it easier to blot him off the face of the earth the next time. There's only so many ways a terrorist cripple in a wheelchair can avoid getting smeared into jelly by a missle strike. For now, I take satisfaction in his life being shattered.
(The Palestinian terrorist regime is the crisis and Israel's fist is the answer.)

The top fugitive, Mohammed Deif, could end up paralyzed... Dang it, that's a shame. We ought to send flowers. I'll spring for the rubber band that holds them to the 500-lb bomb casing...
To: Enchante
look on the bright side.
Israel now gets to bomb this guy again,
hopefully killing more people.

I agree that the Israelis should let the IAF and IDF take the gloves off. Enough's enough, and those guys have definitely taken more than their fair share.

An eye here, a spine there. Maybe that's the Israelis' intent -- kill him one piece at a time.

couldn't there be a series of bombs rather than one? That was the method used to get Zarqawi. The first 500 pounder was dropped. A damage assessment was quickly done and the decision made to drop a second. The Israelis are very good and there is much to be learned from them, but this is clearly an instance where they could have learned from us.
