There could be an additional, unspoken reason behind Sen. Hillary Clinton’s recent declaration that she won’t support Sen. Joe Lieberman if he loses the Democratic primary in Connecticut – payback.
Lieberman, as Hillary well recalls, took her husband Bill to task over the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
As NewsMax reported last week, Clinton said she would support the nominee chosen by Connecticut Democrats in the August 8 primary, even though Lieberman has announced that he plans to run as an independent if he loses.
"I believe we must honor the decisions made by Democratic primary voters,” Hillary said.
But columnist Margaret Carlson, writing for Bloomberg.com, points out: "You can also interpret Clinton’s swipe at Lieberman as an act of lingering resentment against the man who scolded her husband during impeachment proceedings shortly after his admission in August 1998 that he had been lying to the country for seven months.
"Lieberman took to the Senate floor to slam Clinton ‘for having extramarital relations with an employee half his age . . . in the vicinity of the Oval Office. Such behavior is not just inappropriate. It is immoral.’”
Carlson then opines: "Revenge isn’t an admirable emotion but at least it’s evidence of some emotion from a woman who showed none during one of the most public cases of philandering ever . . . She may have been finally getting back at the Democrat who didn’t stand by her man.”
Carlson is a long time Clinton supporter and Time magazine contributor.
Lieberman is facing a strong primary challenge from millionaire businessman Ned Lamont, and many Connecticut Democrats are unhappy about the senator’s support for the Iraq war.
Which reminds me: It's worth noting that even Tammy Wynette divorced George Jones when she got tired of his crap.

Built up as "The Conscience of the Senate" before the impeachment/conviction vote, Joe was a useful idiot for Clinton and then for Gore's run for the oval office. Not even Algore would support Joe's run for Prez...he threw him under the bus. Hillary, the driver of the 'rat bus sees Joe in her rearview mirror and throws it in reverse to run him over again. Their use for the idiot is over.
Don't kid yourself. Hillary traded him supporting her for Senate and possibly the Presidency and was why she fought for him.

In 2000,actually 1999 Joe Liberman sold his soul to the devil in order to become Al Gore's running mate.

The real story that I want to hear is this: Billy-Jeff's REGULAR girlfriend was unavailable during the infamous government shutdown, and Lewinsky was pressed into service (no pun intended). The question is, who was the government-paid "servicer" of Bill prior to the shutdown?
I think what the article is pointing out is that MRS BILL CLINTON will support the *Rat* candidate, meaning that if Joe ends up running as an Indie, she won't support him. She'll support Neddie baby.
Yes, there are two delicious scenarios here:
(1) Joe wins the primary--- hugh slap in face to the moonbat base and MRS BILL CLINTON, or
(2) Joe loses primary but wins election--- hugh-er slap in face to moonbat base and MRS BILL CLINTON.

Yes,that could be a factor.Also,it must be noted that Lamont could probably buy and sell Lieberman many times over...and we all know that the Clintons have always,shall we say,been "drawn" to "affluence".
And you know what, the Senate especially is a very tight club. It won't sit well with many that MRS BILL CLINTON, the Hildabeast, is so willing to publically throw their good friend of several decades, the gentleman from CT, under the bus so readily.
Esp. after Algore, as a rep of the Klintoons, asked Joe to go out on a limb and run for VP with him.
She's not making any friends about now, I'm sure.
