The announcement prompted angry letters even before a single Coulter column appeared. When we actually printed something she wrote, all hell broke loose.I doubt it. I lived there for two years and the folks are pretty conservative.
More likely the lefty newsfolks were all adither.

Unless you actually subscribe to their paper, they probably aren't going to care what you think.

To the Editors,
I find it amusing that the most rabid hate speech pours for the pens of the Political Left for years aimed at President Bush and the Editors do NOTHING about it. NOW, a Conservative dares to shoot back and the Left's Editors answer is the modern day equivalent of a book burning. To quote Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Burning is not answering.
Just another example of the American Left's Cult of Hypocrisy

The only "dissent" or "free speech" that the left tolerates is THEIR speech or dissent against America or conservatives and Republicans.
The same as my friends or relatives that "don't want to talk politics" means they don't want to hear my views or any facts.

Awwwwwww. The pantywaists in CR can't stand the lash of Ann Coulter's sarcasm. Poor babies ...
Meanwhile, conservatives have to put up with clowns like Con Stewart, BJ Dionne, and Arianna Huffnpuffnstuff.

I bet they still print Maureen Dowd, who on her best day says things more vile and ugly about a wartime president than Coulter said about 4 nobody hags. Amazing in today's America it's more acceptable to slander a war time president with the most venomous bile and anyone who dares to call for a moderation of ugly rhetoric is said to be trampling on free speech, but this hick rag can yank Coulter's column, a column the locals probably enjoyed, merely for criticizing for partisan witches and that's not considered a violation of free speech. Hopefully Iowans are cancelling their subscriptions to this fish wrapper.

When we actually printed something she wrote, all hell broke loose. Heck, if what people thought about the tripe a person mught write was reason to stop printing it, then Mlly Ivens and Maureen Dowd should be banned too.
Isn't it interesting how it's usually the "free speech and tolerance" folks that make the loudest noises in attempt to intolerantly muzzle free speech they disagree with?

Ann Coulter is a national treasure in the USA. The more the left piles on in heaping gratuitous criticsm, the more that the American people will warm to her. The American people have virtually tuned out the liberal hive. We are not listening anymore. Your monopoly is gone, gone, with the wind. Your attacks on Conservatives and Conservative philosophy are pitiful, pathetic, and ultimately, self-destructive. You only have to look at the NY Crimes market capitalization over the last twelve months to understand how far down the mighty have tumbled, and it's only going to get worse with time.
