Rush's guest host today: Mark Belling
Because of Mark Belling I am actually getting work done and paying attention to my co-workers and noticing all the fruit flies in the office.
I think Rush is punishing us with Belling so we appreciate him more when he returns.
Well...a fellow's got to fill that three hours up somehow :)
It's only been two hours and I shall kiss Rush's feet to come back now!
LOL...I, too, am listening to sports talk...but, my local station which has the BEST, FUNNY sports station.
Rush better find a better sub...or he might lose his audience...NAH---that won't happen and Rush knows it.

Biology and Behavior
Fruit flies are common in homes, restaurants, supermarkets and wherever else food is allowed to rot and ferment. Adults are about 1/8 inch long and usually have red eyes. The front portion of the body is tan and the rear portion is black. Fruit flies lay their eggs near the surface of fermenting foods or other moist, organic materials. Upon emerging, the tiny larvae continue to feed near the surface of the fermenting mass. This surface-feeding characteristic of the larvae is significant in that damaged or over-ripened portions of fruits and vegetables can be cut away without having to discard the remainder for fear of retaining any developing larvae. The reproductive potential of fruit flies is enormous; given the opportunity, they will lay about 500 eggs. The entire lifecycle from egg to adult can be completed in about a week.

I couldn't sleep last night...so I turned on the radio..and I turned to my local NPR station.
They were talking about the World Cup on BBC. They interviewed a man who lives in Marseille (sp) France, which is the hometown of the head-butter.
They asked him if he would be blamed for losing the game..and bring shame to France...
He said NO, that the reason he head butted that guy was because the Italian team is known for hating black people, so they taunt the black players on all of the teams..and this guy Linard(?)...was "paying them back"...
I thought...oh, my goodness...I thought it was only in America that the race card is used as an excuse all of the time..

Yes if I am interested in Fruit Flies it is real bad. What will I be googling tomorrow.
I thought the Challenger event occurred about 73 seconds into the flight...
What bugs me about sports talk is the people that are interested have already seen it and the ones who didn't see it have no interest. JMO of course.
That's it! I never thought of it that way. Jeff Gordon is more like a Formula 1 driver than a NASCAR driver. I don't condone the throwing of bottles at him, though, plastic or not. If they were full, they could cause damage. Instead, the fans should have turned their backs and let Jeffy do his burnouts to an empty stand.

This guys accent is like listening to fingernails across a blackboard. Thank goodness I'm from the south where we have pleasant accents. To top things off, he wasted air time reading an article by Bill Kristol. That McCain shill is a notorious Bush hater.
