Thanks for that link:
What I bet will happen is that Chrissy Matthews (who never has found spin he didn't like)...will make this sound like Hoekstra is complaining about the actual PROGRAMS..and calling them ILLEGAL...
However, all he is doing, is having a hissy fit about not being totally in the loop on everything.
Maybe someone should show him the infamous Rockefeller memo..and fellow member of the Intelligence Committees...where he outlines how they NEED to do whatever it takes to undermine Bush's war on terror (Iraq).
AND, the fact that this letter went out precisely at the same time of the confirmations that HE was against (being in the House, he didn't get veto power over confirmation, poor baby).
Thank you, patj.
Thanks for those links.
I looked at the CBS video pic. Yes, she is the one I saw on FoxNews.
[I hate that I missed Brian Kilmeade's slap at her. He can be a riot.]
#194, great post, and you must tell us more about Governor Rutabaga. I realized that he was sleazy and corrupt when he was a NM Congressman, then his sleaze factor went up three fold during his Clinton Administration Jobs. The $64,000 question should be,how much more corrupt can he get, and not realize the New Media will bring up everything in his numerous closets? I have more of a chance at becoming President or VP than he does. Even Chia Pet Biden has a better chance than him.
Hoekstra's a damn fool for going to the MSM.
I suggest that all of this protection of Clinton will NEVER stop...he was a hero to the lefty MSM..plus, with his wifey running for POTUS, they need all protection for HER..so it won't hurt her campaign.
I heard a lawyer on a talk show with Steve Malzsberg last week..he was a lawyer with some kind of Korean Rights group...but, he was around the Clinton Admin. during the talks with N. Korea re: the idea of providing the fuel and agreement between the USA and N. Korea for them NOT to make nuke weapons.
He said the other day...that Wendy Sherman who was in on the negotiations, said that NEITHER party intended to keep to the rules of the agreement...not even the USA.
He said she said...that the Clintonoids thought that Il's regime would crumble..so they would NOT have to follow through on OUR end of the bargain.
BIG OOOOPSY!!!
That is why I find it hilarious that Wendy Sherman is all over the talks shows.
"You know Tim, all you have is...er, I mean, You know Tim, all YOU democrats have is...er, I mean, You know Tim, all THE (wink) democrats have is one arrow in their quiver, which is to bash the President unceasingly. Why can't any of your compatriots, er, I mean your democratic guests, just for once--one time--acknowledge that we're in this together as a COUNTRY and our politcal differences don't matter one wit to Al Qaeda or North Korea?"
"Maybe you'd... dang, I mean the democrats would... rather see Kim with nukes than Bush win one for our team? Don't you think your viewers aren't seeing right through this charade, week after week of playing it since 2001?"
"Tim, you'd do well to check out my thread on Free Republic! We have a lot of smart, dare I say way smarter than you, folks posting there about you and your transparent hatred for this administration and transparent love for your democrat buddies. Really Tim, you need a little dose of plain old reality and if not love, at least respect for the USA. I know that's hard for a democrat to do, but if you show you really mean it, well, maybe your viewership will finally catch up to little Georgie Stepponallofus!"
"Burns is GOOD!"
FoxNews .. Undersecretary Burns was asked some stupid question by Wallace and I loved the answer by Burns. Another seg Burns is answering a question and Wallace mouth is going so fast he can't hear the answer. Burns is sharp!
Nicholas Burns .......... Chris, I'm not going to help you guess what North Korea is going to do!
Krystol says we ought to walk away from 6 way talks - Mara (or whatever) says we have set the bar too high - if we fail we look weak and impudent. (the clinton way)
Beacause Mara can't hear options to hitting NK militarly they aren't there. Britt answers back - just because we don't hear doesn't mean its not out there.
This bs from Hoekstra is over the appointments in the CIA
Why?? .. why are they so upset??
Laugh out loud funny.
Great post. Out of the park.
I'm not certain that China is in control of this situation anymore. I don't doubt that they've egged NK on as a thorn in our sides for many years, but the immediate situation is in danger of spiraling out of control, and I think it's already out of their ability to control.
The Japanese openly talking about rearming (including nukes) and our hints at helping them and Taiwan to build a counter to NK is NOT what China would have had in mind. I think lil Kim is playing his own game and paying scant attention to China anymore. We are all ready to accept that the Hollywierd types get captured by their own publicity and start to believe that they really are geniuses worthy of our attention when they talk about policy issues. How much more likely is it that Kim has begun to believe his own propoganda about himself?
Unless China is planning a full blown military move now, during the last two years of Bush's presidency, then this is way over the top even for them. And their public admission (or is it misdirection?) that they tried and were turned down by NK over the missile tests is out of keeping with their public posturing of the last decade. They lose face, which doesn't help their maneuvering in the region.
Admittedly this is based on little or no evidence. That's one of the problems with both countries. We just don't have enough knowledge about them.
It amazes me how fast the MSM can get this front & center... once the Dem's chime in... its off to the races.
LOL..."blow by blow" not accepted huh?
Too graphic re: violence
or
Too graphic re: sex?
LOL
The build up to the world cup final has started on BBC1 so I am off to watch it - see you all around.
They've also stepped up the pace (and the announcements about) the Airborne Laser anti-missile program.
That's all in the last week!
I remember how back in the first Gulf War there was an airborne side scanning phased array radar program at about the same phase of testing (Joint STARS). They just said "fly it over there" and it proved itself in combat, even surpassing the original design capabilities. I don't know if there are technical hurdles with the ABL program that would keep them from doing that, but then, neither does Kim.
Very interesting post .. and I would not rule that out
IMO, I think China (and Russia) were using North Korea as a puppet .. a puppet they lost control of
Now, I assume he is correct in that lots of Indians run convenient stores, but we know about Indians intellect in science and math.
And yes, I do know what would've happened had a Republican said same, ala Trent Lott. Nonetheless, speak the truth and don't worry about offending Indians or anyone else.
#210, again really good analysis even though it is a really scary scenario.
