Well at least they have the initiative to OPEN THEIR OWN BUSINESSES instead of trying to live off of welfare and child support like so many Liberal handout-suckers. Of course Bidden is going to be condescending. He wants EVERYONE on the Government dole so he and other Liberals can continue to get elected and protect their own "Jobs". With out those people who are unwilling to do for themselves and panhandle at the door of the nearest welfare and or child support services office, they've got no votes and so no job. No wonder he is condescending.

Clinton introduced a quote from Gandhi by saying, "He ran a gas station down in St. Louis."

WASHINGTON — They say the main thing standing between Joe Biden and the White House is Joe Biden’s mouth.

The would-be presidential candidate proved it again on a recent trip to New Hampshire, where C-Span cameras caught him telling an Indian-American activist that Indian-Americans are the fastest-growing immigrant group in Delaware.

In fact, Biden said, “You cannot go into a Dunkin Donuts or a 7-Eleven unless you have a slight Indian accent.”

Only hyper-sensitive people with nothing else to get offended by get offended by this silliness.

The point is that the "hyper-sensitive people with nothing else to get offended by" are very party specific when it comes to what offends them.

If the comments came from a Republican from Texas or Alabama, it would be on the front page of the NY Times in the morning, with an editorial calling for sensitivity training and Senate censure.

But from an eastern liberal, the comments fade into the ether as if they were uttered only in a dream.

So is Biden with the Pakistani terrorist population? Does he have interest in contracts there?

Taking material from Neil Kinnock again, or is this an original?

The Kwik-E-Mart in Pittsburgh, across from the Westin Hotel. I think Simpsons producers tried to sue these folks but didn't get far. Have been in there--there's a pic of Apu in there taken from some Simpsons book. Note that the font in the sign is Comic sans ms, a la comic book/Simpsons...

Yeah, this will be totally ignored by the media. Can you imagine if a Republican had said this?

Yep today would be his last day as a Senator, if he sat on the other side of the aisle.

Hillary Clinton: another latent anti-Indian racist
The New York Democrat made the remark at a fund-raiser Saturday. During an event here for Senate candidate Nancy Farmer, Clinton introduced a quote from Gandhi by saying, "He ran a gas station down in St. Louis."

Hitlery regrets joke

Compare with Bobby Jindal: Republican from Louisiana...of Indian heritage!

The point of this thread is the hypocrisy of the left not the what he said. This will not even get a blurb in the MSM. Yet if this were a conservative forget about it!

Usually the point of the thread is determined by the initiator. His point was about what he said.

That is show to be also as the thread went 20 posts before that (the press) was mentioned. After that about half and half.

The point of the thread is thus to slam JB.

"Yet if this were a conservative forget about it!"

Conservatives too make reference to Indians and motels/gas stations/Apu all the time. Big deal. Just go to any large thread about India/Indians, you will see Apu comments(all light hearted)... and I don't see anyone(including Indian freepers) making big fuss about it.

Again, you miss the point.

We are talking about the double standard with which the media treats alleged public sensitivity transgressions by politicians based solely on their political affiliation.

For an example, compare and contrast the furor over Trent Lott complimenting Strom Thurmond at a private function to the non-furor that failed to erupt when former klansman Byrd referred to "white niggers" on national television.

The NY Times rarely comments on the unknown random person's private comments or internet postings, so those aren't really relevant to the debate.

I have not missed anything at all. I just don't agree with people making a silly non-issue a big issue. But, if it means a sky falling moment or a news of epic proportion, then more power to you.
