| Sparklers are cool! |
This week's AAR was written as a group effort. Albion Wilde and Trooprally [Mr & Mrs] contributed terrific content and commentary. Thanks, guys!!!
FReepers and FRiends in attendance (* indicates lurkers, WR are current patients except as noted): Albion Wilde, Amanda*, Ashley*, Bill* from MD, BufordP, Carol*, Cindy-true-supporter, Elijah (WR), Fraxinus, George* & Ethel*, Jack Deth, Jimmy Valentines brother, Just A Nobody, Ken (WR), kristinn, Megan*, Pasquale, PleaDeal, Sensei Ern, Sisku Hanne, SonofTGSL, tgslTakoma, Trooprally [Mr. & Mrs.], and the Stealth Interns "Lisa", "Megan", "Lucy", "Cindy" and "Judy". (Although the 5 interns were very happy to be celebrating and thanking the troops, they prefer to remain in "stealth mode" for the time being.)
Trooprally [Mrs] pics are here and are identified with a border. PleaDeal's pics are here.

Elijah Allen, milblogger of ContactRight (left), and FReeper Plea Deal, one of this reports two extraordinary (says Albion Wilde)(Oh, hush! says Plea Deal) photographers, the other being the inimitable Mrs. Trooprally, (above right, in the white USMC shorts - NOT the "Club Gitmo" wear sported by Jimmy Valentine's Brother) |

From Trooprally [Mr]: It was my turn to man MOAB2 (Mother Of All Banners Version 2) this week. With help from BufordP and some cigars, all went well. There was a slight wind early on billowing MOAB2, but it died down enough that I could let BufordP hold it. |
|
Three 'newbies' class up the northwest corner (FReeper Sensei Ern in background). |
The southwest corner where I usually stand was well taken care of in my absence. Three of the 'newbies' from the previous week saw the corner empty and promptly went over. I guess they are now 'rookies'. The three girls later moved to the northwest corner. I thought it was because Jimmy Valentine's Brother went to their corner. JVB had a fetish about showing 'leg' tonight. But one of the girls insisted it was because the second corner had fewer people. (PD - uh huh!) |
|
Jimmy Valentines Brother, wearing his Gitmo shorts. |
Trooprally [Mr] (cont.): Holding the MOAB2 is the second best corner to be on. FReepers, lurkers and PWs (ProtestWarriors) come to this corner first, grab some pizza and a sign, then spread out. I felt like the "Welcome Committee." From my position, I was able to thank them for coming out. Four newbies came today along with lurkers George and Ethel. We must be doing something right. Nine new people in the last two weeks. I hope they return. PD - Speaking of pizza and signs - Thank You tgslTakoma!!!! We'd all be starving and fighting over a handful of signs without your dedication to the group. |
|
Instead of buns, Sensei Ern brought tortillas. Thus, they became - wait for it - "undocumented" dogs! |
Trooprally [Mr] (cont.): Did anyone mention the hot dogs Sensei Ern brought with him? It was a good break from the pizza, but he forgot the mayo & relish!! I guess riding his cycle, he needed at least one hand to steer. |

*** WARNING *** WARNING *** WARNING *** MOONBATS AHEAD *** WARNING *** PINKO SECTION ***

Pink-hat guy got his Pinko Hat back! |
...and he brought a Pink-hat womyn, too! |
![]() ... rounded out by the usual suspects. |

Trooprally [Mr] (cont.): The southwest corner had a lot of activity tonight. Several Pinkos came up to visit and take pictures of us. I couldn't hear, but I saw some lively discussions going on. Additional, a wounded soldier from WR (Elijah) spent time on the SW corner. As I have mentioned in the past, the SW corner is the best corner to be on because that is where the Pinkos first encounter FreeRepublic/Protest Warrior members. Trooprally [Mrs]: "He talked mostly to Just a Nobody about the changing of our signs not supporting the war... We kept telling him to leave just like the Swedish pinko. We had to threaten to call the police on both of them. He got the hint. She did not." |
|
The first Pinko interloper. This one wanted to know where our "Support the War" signs were. |

![]() Pinko interloper #2: Offended leftie Swedish tourist |
PD - Another Pinko wandered in amongst the patriotic crowd. She didn't try to talk to anyone, just took photos of the posters and banners. These two socialists were probably together; they wore the exact same colored clothing, just top and bottoms reversed. Isn't that special! Trooprally [Mrs]: "Then Just a Nobody walked over there and told her she was breaking the law by being on the sidewalk. She kept say "It's a free sidewalk I can walk where I please." About 15 times I threatened to call the police; she stood her ground and said "Can't I read the signs?" We said NO - she still stood there. Then Kristinn came over and she left. That's my story and I'm sticking to it." |
|
Albion Wilde observes: Mrs. Trooprally and Just A Nobody re-educate an aggressive leftie from Sweden, who sourly criticized our celebrating in the face of the wounded as if we were celebrating the troops injuries rather than our nations birthday and the bravery of the troops at Walter Reed who sacrificed to keep us free. When the Braless Wanderer insisted on her right to the public sidewalk, Mrs. Trooprally and Just A Nobody explained Free Republics rights as citizens of the United States, including our permit for the rally. This woman kept saying, I am Swedish! as if Sweden were the center of the moral universe. Like many Europeans, she simply cannot imagine the scale and size of a country like America. Not only do we have a wide-open state (Texas) of similar land area to Sweden but with three times as much population (meaning that most of Sweden is frozen wasteland), we have fifty states. To Europe, the number of combat deaths must seem larger in relation to the population of a country like Sweden (not quite 9 million inhabitants roughly the same as New York City) than it does to our 300 million citizens. We mourn all combat deaths and injuries, but we also must note than our current combat death rate is only five percent as high as that in the Vietnam War, and an even smaller percentage than in WW2, where the Battle of Iwo Jima alone claimed 6,891 American lives to secure one small, strategic island. Beyond that, Albion continues, Sweden is the European leader in socialist torpor and open borders so that immigrants will do the work that the Swedes liberally aborted children are not available to do. Its third largest city, Malmo, is so overrun by polygamous, unemployed Muslim immigrants having huge families on the generous welfare dole that even the police are afraid to venture into its militant, Islamist neighborhoods. If Europe doesnt get a clue, the sexually advanced Swedish culture in which most ethnically Swedish women do not provide fathers for their children (preferring welfare support and daycare), hate-speech enthusiasts persecute Christians and heterosexuals, and IKEA stores provide abaya-and-hajib uniforms for its Muslim female employees, may soon be overtaken by sharia law. This blond Braless Wanderer will have to hide her floppy discs in a burka if, in fact, she would be allowed to continue living. All, of course, Bushs fault. Just one more reason to celebrate our nations July 4th anniversary of independence from the decadent Europe we left behind in 1776. |

**** End of offensive moonbat Pinko section ****
*** Back to the FUN! ***
|
|
We'll be back out at Walter Reed next Friday night, July 7th, from 6:30 until at least 9:30 at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW in Washington, D.C. Let the troops know that regular Americans aren't too busy with TV, ballgames, movies and other recreation to show their thanks and support to our brave troops and to peacefully counter America-hating moonbat-Pinkos.
Being there with us in spirit is great, but we need people to hold the MOAB (Mother of all banners), other signs, and flags. Maybe you can't come every week, but please make it your patriotic duty to join us at least once in the near future. This FReep is rewarding, fun, and important for our troops and our nation.
As always, the DC Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence. No profanity. No racism. No provocations. Obey the law. Treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
All DC Chapter Walter Reed FReeps - c/o BufordP.

Lost & Found: I have a nice jacket and umbrella left on the fence two weeks ago. FReepmail me if you know to whom it belongs.
