The President and First Lady spent the weekend at Camp David returning to the White House on Sunday.
Today the President signed H.R. 5403, the Safe and Timely Interstate Placement of Foster Children Act of 2006
The Vice President had a busy Saturday. First he had a sucessful annual physical, then he and his wife Lynne along with their 3 grandaughters went to Kennedy Space Center for the launch of Discovery which unfortunately due to bad weather did not take-off. They then went to Daytona Beach for the Pepsi 400.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
I do not know the way Mary was talking about it in her recent TV interviews I assumed maybe wrongly that it was fairly early in the pregnancy.
White House Press Secretary Tony Snow wears Elvis style sunglasses as he speaks to reporters on board Air Force One taking President Bush and Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to Memphis, Tenn. where they will visit Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, Friday, June 30, 2006
Tom DeLay and his wife are two people who have walked the walk of the righteous.
That photo of Tony is a keeper...and when he goes back to radio...after Bush is gone, then we need to use that picture as the header of his thread...LOL

Thanks so much for posting them all!
Hi snugs, thanks for tonight's Dose!
Independence Day remains meaningful since the UK is such a staunch ally in modern times. These are ties that cannot be broken, even though governmental ties may be.
Bump to that, Tx. I'm very happy to see Delay there for this signing .. it's a good thing. I'll be surprised if his immense leadership skills aren't utilized to keep the team together and strong.
Wondering if anyone saw the heartwarming Dateline feature last night about the US couple who first adopted baby twins from Russia, then went back 5 years later to adopt their abandoned 4 brothers and sisters. It was wonderful.
We just don't hear much about these things, as the MSM is so completely focused on controversy, but the White House has recently sent several nominations to the Senate for confirmation here and here and judicial nominations here.

What a FUN thread! Thank you so very much for the amusement!
I am glad to be looking at it tonight at home after being away for 10 days or so. One of these days soon I will post a couple pictures and a report from our trip to D.C. (unfortunately no pics of GWB, the VP--or even a motorcade!). :) I also have to tell everyone about misinformation we heard from a tour guide regarding GWB--and the reason I knew he was wrong was because of the Dose! I plan to contact the tour agency so that I can set the record straight. Must continue unpacking. Thank you for your work!
Look forward to the report when you have the time.
Thanks for your news updates
I have no idea when this picture was taken. I put it on the Dose just because I like it.
Video HERE on their preparations for tomorrow's visit.
