Thanks, snugs ... hope you and Dad are well. Somehow, I'm not surprised at the Dose pix today .. ;).

Bump to that, Tx. I'm very happy to see Delay there for this signing .. it's a good thing. I'll be surprised if his immense leadership skills aren't utilized to keep the team together and strong.

Wondering if anyone saw the heartwarming Dateline feature last night about the US couple who first adopted baby twins from Russia, then went back 5 years later to adopt their abandoned 4 brothers and sisters. It was wonderful.

We just don't hear much about these things, as the MSM is so completely focused on controversy, but the White House has recently sent several nominations to the Senate for confirmation here and here and judicial nominations here.

President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan has sent Pres. Bush super flowery greetings on the occasion of our Independence Day.

"President General Pervez Musharraf has extended greetings to President United States of America George W. Bush on the independence day of USA falling on July 4.

President Musharraf in his message said, “I take immense pleasure in conveying our warmest felicitations on the happy occasion of the independence day of the United States of America.”

He said Pakistan and the United States are long-standing friends and allies in the cause of peace, stability and development.

Musharraf said the affirmation of the Pakistan-U.S. strategic partnership during the visit of President Bush to Islamabad this March has furthered progress towards a broad-based, long-term and sustainable relationship.

He said with a stronger institutional basis, the multifaceted cooperation keeps on growing in diverse fields.

President Musharraf said, “Our relationship continues to flourish to the mutual benefit of our two nations and serves as a factor of stability that the regional and international levels.”

He said, “I have no doubt that our friendly and cooperative ties would deepen event further in the years ahead.” And he goes on further .....

Tony Snow also reported that the Bush Administration plans planned to sell Pakistan up to 36 advanced F-16 fighter jets built by Lockheed Martin Corp. in a weapons package that could be worth more than $5 billion.

The proposed sale of 18 new "Fighting Falcon" fighters with an option for 18 more demonstrates the United States' commitment to a long-term relationship with Pakistan, White House spokesman Tony Snow told reporters.

Thanks for the quote from President General Pervez Musharraf. We are fortunate that he is President. He sounds sincere in what he says. I wonder if we get any greeting like that from any other Islamic country.
