Today I would like to depart from what I perceive as the common wisdom on several people and issues.
Hillary Clinton. Media people keep saying, as Hillary gears up for her presidential bid, that her big challenge in 2008 will be to prove that she is as tough as a man. That she could order troops to war. That she's not girly and soft.
This is the exact opposite of the truth. Hillary doesn't have to prove her guy chops. She doesn't have to prove she's a man, she has to prove she's a woman. No one in America thinks she's a woman. They think she's a tough little termagant in a pantsuit. They think she's something between an android and a female impersonator.

Yawn. You may as well be quoting Mike Moore. Hard to decide which of the two has the lower level of intellectual crediblity these days. Peggy Noonan or Mikey.

Heh, Heh, Heh, she called H! a "termagant" (=nasty Muslim deity), heh, heh.
Peggy Noonan has written a few really horrible columns, but most of the time she's pretty good. This one's certainly a good one.
She does have a speech-writers habit of simplifying and writing down to her audience, which I find a minor annoyance. I prefer someone like Steyn who writes with sharp intelligence and the hell with you if it's over your head. It's not that Peggy is stupid, it's just the way she has trained herself to write.
Unlike, let's say, Maureen Dowd, who writes in an atrocious, pseudo-pop style because she's a conceited idiot.

HRC is devoid of any warmth whatsoever. I see her as a parasite... a human remora attached to the underbelly of her shark-like, rapist partner. Without him... she is nothing.
It was a good one. When she's wrong, she's very, very wrong. But fortunately, she's not wrong often.

No none has to tell us of how hard as nails the hildebeast can be. We all know that. In fact she's the consummate politician with no morals and ethics. She marries a known womanizer and rapist. She gets herself pregnant by a family friend so that a baby will play a role in her political goals. She runs the White House for 8 years. She removes herself to the city that will give her the sophistication and cosmopolitan appearance she desperately needs. She acquires the senatorial position where in appearance she is the junior senator but yet we know she's the unacknowledged leader of the demoncRAT party. After she wins the senatorial re-election, she'll be the public-acknowledged leader of the demoncRAT party and she'll make in bid for the WH in '08. If she's not elected, she'll still have a job, like skerry, as NY's senator feeding at the public trough. Oh, yeah, we all know what the hildebeast is like.

I once worked for someone like her, and I swear you could almost hear her thinking, "How would a human respond to this situation?"
