Hamas And The Shalit Abduction

Can a war be won without understanding the enemy? No. Israel's continuing failure to stem persistent Hamas terrorism is a testimony to the fact that the Jewish state is still in dark about the real character of their enemy - Arabs living in the historical Jewish lands. Time and again Israeli leaders have exhibited their profound ignorance of the Arab's culture of terror that nourishes the Hamas mentality. The Israeli efforts to withdraw from southern Lebanon and the unilateral disengagement to the 1967 lines around Gaza Strip have all been carried out under the perception that such gestures would achieve peace with the Arabs. But in reality, it worked the other way round. The Arabs perceived Israel's peace moves as its weakness. The Israelis have been forced to pay in blood, the price of their leaders' failure to understand the culture of terror.

In the existential war that Israel is fighting, it is vital to keep Hamas' constitution in mind. A video released on the Hamas website clearly emphasizes the Arab Islamic ideology - the subjugation of Judeo-Christian lands under Islam. Moreover, Israel's withdrawal from Gaza is viewed as the successful result of their policy of terror. The manner in which Israel "ran" from Gaza is being presented as the prototype for future Israeli and western behavior in the face of an Islamic force.

"Israel's continuing failure to stem persistent Hamas terrorism is a testimony to the fact that the Jewish state is still in dark about the real character of their enemy".

Should read "ABSENCE of real character of their enemy".

Thanks for the post.

Sadly this is too true.

I think Isreal understands the Arab mentality better than anyone. These people are cowards and respect only force.

Unfortunately, unless something changes viz a viz some kind of robotic defense system that fool proofs any idea of invasion before it starts, we will witness this kind of Hamas stupidity for the rest of our lives.

RElease the soldier. It is that simple.

Muslims being held in Guantanamo could lead to a jahadi claim to the "holy land" of Cuba. Any place defiled by the moose becomes Mad Moe property

I think they understand it well enough. There's a point beyond which understanding is necessary. Understandings are for civilized people; if you're not civilized, you pretty much give up your right to be understood, and the rest of us have to perform the work of elimination.

Unfortunately, Israel is doing useless things, like bombing the EMPTY offices of the Hamas/PA Prime Minister. This is war by humane means and demonstrates the greater morality of Israel. I call it insanity. It's insane when Israel does this and it's insane when the US does this, like missing the chance to nail Mullah Omar's SUV convoy, because DoD lawyers had some objection. We're still looking for Mullah Omar.

RElease the soldier. It is that simple.

But releasing the soldier would be for the Islamic Swine to lose face to the Zionist Occupier. My understanding is that death is preferable to them. Unfortunately most Israelis do not understand this.

BTW, who is going to answer for the two soldiers the Islamic Swine killed when they abducted Shalit.

I think it's an eye for an eye. The soldier as yet has not been harmed. Once he is killed.. you will see an all out assault I assure you. Once Iran makes an offensive move you will see us come down hard on them... This I believe.. Same for NK..

This guy, presumably a Muslim, gets it. And since he seems like a sane, intelligent, educated and rational individual, his life is probably in danger.
