It seems to me that they could have left the American flag up and maybe put a small Brit Flag up in their front window or in a less conspicuous place. Why did they come to America? If they are planning to be citizens they are already making bad moves, if they are not and are just working here they show very poor judgment. If I moved to England, I would display the American Flag as Secondary to the Country where I resided. Not ever Brit is like Snugs, but these People are really arrogant or ignorant or both.

Just transferred here to work at Johnson & Johnson.

Because of the way our houses are situated I would see that flag first thing every morning when I opened the blinds. It was always such a comfort.

It was such a disrespectful thing to do, IMO.

We have people living in our community from all over the world. I have never seen another country's flag flying above the American Flag.

In defence of the Brits it is not really tradition apart from very large houses to fly the flag unless we are in a sporting event.

It may well be if they moved in recently they have only put it up for the world cup if so it will be down this weekend.

On the other hand they may have thought it in appropriate to fly the US flag as they are not American and thought it was novel to fly a flag so put up an English one.

Either way they would not realise the passion you have with your flag it is not the same here.

The neighborhood that I live in is transitional - lots of illegals moving in, displacing the more traditional residents. While some of us continue to try to keep our properties clean (lawns mowed, trash picked up) we are fewer in number each year.

I had a French-Canadian neighbor who lived directly across the street from me. I would have expected him to fly the Canadian flag from his flagpole - after all it is his privilege - he chose to fly Old Glory. Every day he would raise it, each night he would take it in. I never got to know him well (he was very reserved), but he was a great neighbor.

Three years ago he sold the house and moved away. The folks who bought hoisted the UN flag within two weeks, and it stayed up (they never lowered it) until a winter storm a year ago when it got shredded (I didn't do it - HONEST!).

Typical yuppies, they let the lawn and gardens go to seed, and the trash that careless motorists toss out? That's not their garbage, so why should they have to clean it up?!

I would be overjoyed to have Canadian John back - even if he chose to fly his native flag!
