The neighborhood that I live in is transitional - lots of illegals moving in, displacing the more traditional residents. While some of us continue to try to keep our properties clean (lawns mowed, trash picked up) we are fewer in number each year.

I had a French-Canadian neighbor who lived directly across the street from me. I would have expected him to fly the Canadian flag from his flagpole - after all it is his privilege - he chose to fly Old Glory. Every day he would raise it, each night he would take it in. I never got to know him well (he was very reserved), but he was a great neighbor.

Three years ago he sold the house and moved away. The folks who bought hoisted the UN flag within two weeks, and it stayed up (they never lowered it) until a winter storm a year ago when it got shredded (I didn't do it - HONEST!).

Typical yuppies, they let the lawn and gardens go to seed, and the trash that careless motorists toss out? That's not their garbage, so why should they have to clean it up?!

I would be overjoyed to have Canadian John back - even if he chose to fly his native flag!

Oh my.......I don't know what I would have done if they'd flown a UN flag. aaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh

She's very left tho. As is the husband.

When I commented on how good it was that Maggie Thatcher was able to come to Reagan's funeral. He turned up his nose, said he didn't like her and anyway he was a billclinton fan.

One time she was telling me how shocked she was when a policeman entered the school and he actually had a firearm.

Hopelessly, liberal.
