Bottom line, he gets the nominees thru his committee and out for a vote from the full senate.
It's good thing they had it during WWII. Otherwise one of their papers would have reported that their government had broken the German enigma code.
She is nearly hysterical. She said, among other things, that the President should have known that what he was doing with military tribunals was criminal. How should he have know that...because there was a fierce debate raging on both sides. So if there's a debate, and the correct view is unclear, you are criminal if you tend to one view as opposed to the other.
Anyway, I'm betting that she got the invite after her little appearance on Hardball. Here are the articles I pulled up on her this week:
Why does the left do 75% of what they do, I don't know, that is the big question.
Graham's making some sense on FNS.
LOL.... I know... I know...
Apparently some Freepers did not underestand the awards. My hope is this cleared it up.
(Probably not but at least we tried.)
There is a rumor (only rumor) that Mrs. Greenspan is on her way out. Will be clear soon.
I did a double take on her comment when Rubin said she supports the US but not the Christian US. The woman must have missed all her history classes in school.
She's also hard to listen to because every sentence comes out as a whine. Wouldn't you hate to be stuck with her for any period of time?
As if those people haven't suffered enough.
Just deserts for screwing up the economy, IMO.
Boy, I hope so. She is just awful. Just asked McConnell if the Administration was not just trying to demonize the NYT as a ploy because of the upcoming elections. To all, if you don't get MTP until the next hour, arm yourself with soft items to throw at the tv. For example, Schumer just accused the Pubbies of a double standard toward leaks since "there was no outcry over the Plame leak." If I recall correctly, the President made quite clear in that case that he didn't want leaks, would try to get to the bottom of it, and ordered everyone in the WH to cooperate fully. Then, if irc, a special prosecuter was appointed.
For your list:
If the Supreme Court grants Geneva Convention POW status to people who fight "unconventionally", then American forces should be allowed to fight "unconventionally" against those foes.
The first "unconvention" that springs to mind is *Take No Prisoners*
Refer all questions about this decision to the SCOTUS and the Congress.
The people representing the left are just doing us the biggest favor.
1. Swift Boat Veterans starts to target Rep. John Murtha .
Just in time for the 2006 midterm elections, we learn that supporters of the 2004 Swift Boat Veterans for Truth campaign against Sen. John Kerry are starting "Murtha Lied" -- with a Web site "and all the accouterments of a hotshot political campaign," says the guiding force, retired Navy SEAL Capt. Larry W. Bailey of North Carolina.
Capt. Bailey informs fellow veterans in a memo we obtained that he's just opened a bank account in the name of "Vets for Truth," as "we're going to need enough money to send our Operation Street Corner 'missionaries' into Rep. John Murtha's home district in Pennsylvania."
Mr. Murtha, a veteran of the Marine Corps who has served more than 35 years in the House, has been the most outspoken member in Congress against U.S. war policy in Iraq. Keep an eye out for the veteran group's launch at www.murthalied.com.
2. Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's administration is the focus of a year-long federal investigation into "very serious" allegations of hiring fraud & U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald is the investigator here. State Treasurer Judy Baar Topinka is Blagojevich's GOP opponent in November and she was personally selected by Karl Rove.
AB morning, thought everyone would like to see this:
