Get me one of those hats while you are at it because everything you say makes perfect sense. There are no bigger or badder control freaks than the Clintons and no bigger abusers of power than bubba, his wench or the NYT.

I agree we have similarities but also differences which IMHO is not a bad thing the world would be boring if we were all the same

MY daughter had to reprimand an employee last week cause he came to work in a sarong, she explained to the guy that it wasn't fair that he was the only one allowed to dress up in costume.

I just now watched my tape of the Mrs Greenspan-Mr Schumer MTP interview. It was a career ender for her as bad as Mrs Maury Povich's rendition of "Thanks for the Memories" was for Connid Chung.

Mitch McConnell actually put his hand on the arm of Schumer, butted in and rescued the show. It was really, really weird. She would not stop hounding Schumer about supporting the Conn. dem candidate for Senate after he beats Lieberman.

So true Snugs.

Where would we be without the diversity?

The Brits can laugh at the silliness of our popular culture... McDisneyfied if you will.

And we can laugh at the names you give food.

Spotted Dick anyone? :o)

I have a strange feeling that GB and America may be getting closer than a long time. We share Problems with Illegals and being victims of Terrorists. We have had the illegal problem for a lot longer and GB has had War come to their Shore before whereas America has only previously had War touch Pearl Harbor. We both can learn a lot from trials and tribulations. The funniest part of the GB/American relationship is how the Brits actually look up to America like they would a Child that went off in the world on their own and made it big. At least that is my perception. I do not think they think that way about the former Prison Colony Australia, maybe because they are still connected.

I just watched the rerun of FNS....Graham was very good today and he seemed beyond angry at the court's ruling, especially the Geneva convention part. I think he pretty much said that congress will override the decision of the USSC, not only on the geneva piece, but also on the military tribunal's piece. The more I read/hear about this decision, the more embarrased I am for Kennedy. I would expect the others to side with the terrorists, but for Kennedy to go along is beyond an embarrasmnt for him, it shows he is a weak legal mind.

Unless they have dementia there would be no other reasons for a complete turnaround.

Maybe Hillary has FBI records for some of them.

But then some think I should be fitted with a tinfoil hat.

I have had exactly the same thoughts...make it two hats.

Jim Webb nees to be squished like a bug. Let's see what happens.

All of us are subject to temptation and mistakes brought about by temptation.  James Webb has served our country well and honorably, but has fallen victim to the blandishments of the "power elite" and promises of grandeur.  I hope he is brought to his senses, not squished like a bug.  Failing that I hope he is simply defeated, not humiliated.

Read his own words in this puff piece.  Strip away the campaign and partisan BS and listen to what he says about the path he has followed.  I believe he has been seduced by lies, not personally turned to the dark side.  There's a difference.  I can hold out hope for those who have been tricked.  I can only hope for forgiveness, after defeat, for those who have embraced evil.

I don't believe Jim Webb has embraced evil.  I do believe he has been deluded by those who do not wish us well.

Pray for his salvation.  That is neither Bible thumping cliche nor sarcasm.

Mark Kilmer has posted his review of the shows at Redstate:

The Sunday Show Review

Sunday, July 2, 2006

Andrea Mitchell, who substituted for Tim Russert on Meet the Press this morning, is quite a character. She accused the President of "demonizing the New York Times" over their publication of national security secrets merely because it would look good politically for the midterms. Mitch McConnell told her that the paper is not responsible for our national security. Chuck Schumer maintained his determination to "hold the President's feet to the fire."

Lindsey Graham on FOX News Sunday suggested that Congress would rein the Geneva Convention in domestically. Appearing opposite, Jack Reed ('08?) did not seem very Presidential, but that didn't stop John Kerry in '04.

On ABC's This Week, John McCain laughed that his immigration bill, referred to by some as "McCain-Reed" [NOTE: Probably "McCain-Kennedy"], ought to be called by Republicans: "The Bush Bill." Later, Diane Feinstein gave us a civics lesson, telling us that the Press is an independent entity in our system of government.

On FTN, Arlen Specter declared that there was not enough evidence to try the detainees held at Gitmo in court martial. Same show, New York Times editor Bill Keller said that one of the reasons his paper published the banking story was that it had been so successful. The man is reaching far down, pulling up some significantly odiferous material. Same show, Arlen Specter said that there was not enough evidence to try some of the Gitmo detainees at court-martial, as McCain had earlier suggested.

Finally, on CNN's Late Edition, Pulitzer Prize laureate Sy Hersh told guest host John Roberts that the mullahs in Iran were not making nukes. Iraq's Industry Minister, Fawzi al-Hariri, told Roberts that instead of embolden the Iraqi insurgents, bin Laden's latest statement is an example of their desperation. Then Representative Peter King would not back away from his call to begin criminal proceedings against the New York Times and Barney Frank argued that some of the people captured in Afghanistan and detained at Guantanamo Bay "have done nothing wrong."

The whole trial is out of order? Naaah, Barney as Pacino doesn't work.

Read on for the show-by-show summary...

Oh my I watched that show too ...did you see Andrea switch off of Bennet when he made too much sense...then she started rebutting his question and turned to Saphire to which Bennet said " oh, are you done with me then " and she looked like she just crapped. It was too funny. I swear I heard Homer Simpson DOH!!

I noticed every show today had one critic of the NYT to 3 trying to do a tapdace defending them...and the critics all looked brilliant. They were certainly circling the wagons...and Kurtz's show ...Reliable Scources...my goodness...I usually repect him but they loaded the show against Hugh Hewit and he was the only one who made sense. And Hewit made that Eric dude look like a little kid!

On target .. they are a web of interconnected left think tanks, orgs, Rat advisors, media-types, ex-govt. employeees, and CLINTON cronies with radical agendas and they're *always* up to no good. Thank God for the internet and FR.

We are and have to continue to be the Minute FReepers on alert, seeking, hunting, finding the links, and uncovering the truth.

I'm convinced Drudge gets a lot of his headlines HERE... we produce, he plays and collects $$ from dumb popups.

On MTP...Schumer reinforced my belief that anyone that listens to him talk has to be reminded of that kid on the playground when you were growing up that you just wanted to kick his a... for being such a moron...but you knew it would be too easy and you would feel guilty because maybe he is just THAT STUPID and it's just sad that he believes he is smart..and that he knows more than you.

So you end up going over and patting him on the head while he throws his tantrum thinking to yourself ' One day you might grow up'.
