Schumer was right and Mitchell made a fool out of herself by pressing a question that was obviously not going to be changed from his original answer.

Having said that, my understanding is Schumer, other Democrats and the radical base are actively working against Joe Lieberman. Schumer has to be supportive in public but the others don't.

This really is not an issue where smoking or not smoking is a requirement or indicative of a persons position. Smoking Democrats support the ban as much as non smoking RINO Republicans.

This is an issue of property rights and the right of a business to be free to conduct business as they see fit. If one does not like the atmosphere, there is nothing requiring them to be in there. Analogy, I would be totally uncomfortable and unhappy in a hip hop or mosh pit or Indian bar. Just because I do not like the music or the way people act, I cannot demand they change. Wait, now I can.

As it stands now, if I can get enough people to vote against any of these behaviors in establishments, I'm good to go. Another, how about homosexual bars? If the community opposes homosexual activity and behavior, there is nothing to stop a community from imposing restrictions against it in establishments since private property rights have been, again, abridged.

That is exactly what I am thinking. Soros is a dirty rotten piece of work that may be adjudicated human but not by a wide margin. He behaves like he has intentions of ruling the world, and I would not doubt one iota that he could be a former now laid off KGB Agent. If he were 10 years younger he would be catastrophic for the World. I should not say that, they just arrested Mafia types for present day crimes and some of them are 90 plus years old. Yikes......

Snugs, each of these programs are not news shows, but news analysis. In fact, the Left, in their hate of a truth not their own, hate Fox News because of it. They claim that Fox News is Right-wing but Fox only allows an opinion from the right to be heard. Fox never claimed to be Right-wing. I don't mind hearing the leftist side, as long as they balance it with the right. Which is what they do.

It's the garbage; the tabloid stuff I hate. So I don't watch as much. If my wife didn't turn on Fox News in the morning, I'd rarely watch at all. I NEVER watch ABCCBSCNNNBCMSNBCPBS news on my own. I occasionally LISTEN to NBC Nightly News on the radio as a local radio station simulcasts their broadcast from their TV affiliate on my drive home from work. When I do so, it's like listening to the news from bizzaro world. Totally biased and wrong. I have to spend an extra hour at Free Republic to cleanse myself later!

It is a difficult one as it arouses emotions on both sides of the argument.

As a non smoker I am quite happy about smoking bans but I also appreciate that for smokers this is an intrusion into their personal freedom.

It is my opinion that 527's AND 501c3's should be required by law to publish their donor lists. Period. I don't care how much some conservative organizations might howl, we need to have the full light of day on these groups. How do we know that the Sierra Club isn't funded by Saudis? How do we know that MoveOn isn't funded by Hamas? We don't!!

Those groups should be required to disclose their donors in the same way political parties are.

We have had Mothers Day for years but it earlier in the year than you.

I think maybe you mean Fathers Day which we do celebrate on the same day.

Regarding Soros: my husband )a former mining engineer who keeps up with things in the mining industry) has noted that both Soros and Warren Buffett are heavily invested in silver. He asked me what they might be up to this morning, and I am not very good at the financial markets, so I told him I would see what people on FR knew.

I hope he comes to an ignominious end, much as the Hunt brothers did many years ago.
