Arnold is a moderate, but I don't think he is one of those back stabbing, conservative hating, rhinos of which we can all name a few. We can all imagine that McCain could turn against us, but I think Arnold would never do that.

He already has turned on us and stabbed us in the back. Far from helping to roll back the ruinous environmental regulations he has embraced their kooky religion, lock, stock and barrel and put the farthest, far-left hippy extremists in charge of environmental policy.

As for "helping" McClintock, he's more likely hurting him. Tom has the single highest approval ratings of any elected official in California. He doesn't need Arnold. Sadly Arnold continues to feed the "why bother, both parties are the same" mentality that suppresses our voter turnout.

Just viewing the record demonstrates that Arnold is not a "good Republican" and the only agenda he wants to push is one does not resemble the Republican platform, whatsoever. On fiscal issues, he has shown to be anything but conservative, as he campaigned, instead proposing bigger spending and borrowing to create an even bigger California government. Equally distasteful are his judicial appointments, his appointment of leftists to high state positions (many of which may outlast his term in office), the subsidizing of questionable technology with taxpayer/ratepayer funds (embryonic stem cell research, solar roofs, hydrogen highways, etc.).

Gray Davis could have only dreamed about getting the same liberal agenda items implemented that Arnold has; he would have been opposed every step of the way. Instead, Republicans are being asked to support liberalism because someone chose to put an (R) next to it. What's frightening is that some people do exactly that in the name of "party."

Well I think you, and those you are in line behind, are wrong!!! The Republican minority held Jerry and Gray in line much better than the Republican minority have been able to hold Arnold in line... BY FAR!!!

Look at the record honestly, instead of through those swooning eyelids and see what really happened, for Pete's sake!!! (well, forget Pete! He was almost as bad as Arnold!)

How, has Arnold been better than Gray Davis?

Please be specific.

"we could do a lot worse than Arnold"

For the most part Arnold has been worse than Davis.

Hippy extremists, along with RF Kennedy, Jr. as chief designer. The conservancy land grabs, global warming regs, and cap-and-trade program will chase out any remaining businesses. The long term impact of these actions is so destructive to freedom and anything Republicans supposedly believe in!

I wonder if Angelides won, and the Dems did another 4 years damage to California, if that might allow a wake-up call to elect Tom McClintock (Good chance at Lieutenant Gov this election) to move in and pick up the job.

Tom McClintock's supporting Arnold. That's good enough for me.

Me, too.

Yes, I'm glad we pulled off the recall, it was a real blow against the Democrats.

I urge either one of you to explain how you think we are better off after the Recall and specifically how Schwarzenegger has been better than Gray Davis.

We still have the structural deficit, we still have liberal appointments, we still have the special interests in charge, we have MUCH more debt, we still have the gun bans, we have more environmental regulation and taxpayer subsidies, etc. We have a Governor (R) that has almost entirely abandoned the entire Republican platform. What exactly is there to celebrate?

It is easy, and will get easier for you to get all the information on why you should vote for the Republican, as the election grows closer.

I think our time could be better spent by you taking this opportunity to introduce us to your candidate, and reasons why we should consider voting for him or her.

I wasn't speaking of the election, or who to vote for.

I simply asked you to explain why you believe that the recall was a success and Schwarzenegger was better than Gray Davis and to provide specifics. Tough to do, isn't it?

Nah, it ain't tough to do, but it is frustrating to give an honest answer to someone whose only intent is to twist the words in order to cause more division.

For starters Davis tripled our car registration fees. The registration fees that would have been paid by this household would have been over $2,000 under the liberal plan. Arnold rid us of that burden his first week in office and those who had already paid it were issued a refund.

Don't let yourself get drawn into telling a Davis fan why we are glad we succeeded in replacing him with a Republican.

Davis lost years ago it is ancient history, we have new elections coming up.

True. And had he not, there was a Referendum already in process that would have done the same thing.

Anything else?
