Hey Sensei.
Remember, he said "I would rather be home making love to my wife while my children were asleep"; Ummm, his kids are grown and gone... this tells us?

May be just me but I felt this week that Rush has not been up to Rush's cutting edge. I went back and listened to some archives of shows before he took those two days off.
Anyone else get that feeling? I'm probably wrong but I think I figured it out.
Anyone?

Oh, wow! Rush is reading an analysis of the court decision by our own freeper, Congressman BillyBob (aka John Armor). Brilliant piece, Billy Bob.

They literally threw out a 2005 congressional law. Hasn't said yet what it was. I presume it has to do with the Terroists and how they can be tried. The law said esentially that the SCOTUS couldn't rule on the military tribunals. They ignored the law by saying that this guy's trial started before the law went into affect so therefore they could rule on it.
To me that means all other military tribunals can go ahead and proceed. Besides, the President should just ignore their stupid ruling and continue with them anyway. Let the SC enforce their ruling if they can.

They ignored the law by saying that this guy's trial started before the law went into affect so therefore they could rule on it.To do so, they also had to ignore one of their own decisions of longstanding, in the McCardle case. In McCardle, the law was passed AFTER oral argument and while the Court was actually writing the opinion. Congress took away jurisdiction and the Court had to drop the case.
