Rush must be hoving about 3 feet over his seat today. Show is going to be on fire.
Here Thomas destroys the Geneva Convention Argument Snip***** "In any event, the Courts argument is too clever by half. The judicial nonenforceability of the Geneva Conventions derives from the fact that those Conventions have exclusive enforcement mechanisms, see Eisentrager, supra, at 789, n. 14, and this, too, is part of the law of war. The Courts position thus rests on the assumption that Article 21s reference to the laws of war selectively incorporates only those aspects of the Geneva Conventions that the Court finds convenient, namely, the substantive requirements of Common Article 3, and not those aspects of the Conventions that the Court, for whatever reason, disfavors, namely the Conventions exclusive diplomatic enforcement scheme. The Court provides no account of why the partial incorporation of the Geneva Conventions should extend only so farand no furtherbecause none is available beyond its evident preference to adjudicate those matters that the law of war, through the Geneva Conventions, consigns exclusively to the political branches."
Ha ha ha ha ha. Y'all having fun with me and my typo?
NUMP!
Justice Thomas:
But this suggestion betrays the pluralitys UNFAMILIARITY WITH THE REALITIES OF WARFARE and its willful blindness to our precedents. The starting point of the present conflict (or indeed any conflict) is not determined by congressional enactment, but rather by the initiation of hostilities.
(CAPS MINE)
God Bless Clarence Thomas.
Too late. Already baked brown.
Hmmmmmm....I guess he is all giddy then, that HE and THEY get to stick their noses in and tell the POTUS what he can do!!
THAT is all this Senate seems to be about lately...having hissy fits if Bush does anything without their permission..
Now, Bush has to get their "permission"...so NOW, ole Graham, McCain, and Specter will puff their chests out...and condescend us all to death.
I hadn't thought of that..thanks for telling me about Graham, Johnnie.
It's soo good to see you :) Have to mess with you! Have fun with the little ones...
nump
John Conyers is sharpening the knives now, I suspect.
Now, they are finally ready to leave.
See y'all later. Taking radio with me.
NUMP!
You should be concerned...because its seems like even thought the Reps are the Majority...the Dems seem to be able to stop almost anything in its tracks.
I credit that one to Rush himself; he must have said something like that to the President during his 15 minutes alone with him last week and it must have stuck. Tony helps too!
Rush, it's LUNCH TIME in the East!
Yeah, I agree. This Decision sucks but it is not over. That my point NOT an agreement with the Decision.
Can you get me the link with the story about the guy with a light bulb stuck up his ass?
HAHAHA!
I bet this guy is happy that we brought them up to modern times. I think he would prefer a lightbulb instead of a kerosene lantern!
Looking forward to Voiny crying again... I wonder if he'll cry when they come in his house and saw his grandkids heads off? Or pull a Beslan? They truly don't get it. I hope the decision is being fully explained to our troops.
Perfect description of what will now occur.
Blame Frist. If we had a real leader in the Senate, this crap would not be tolerated. Thank God Frist is retiring and we will have a new leader in Jan 2007.
ROVE, YOU MAGNIFICANT B@ST@RD.
