Terror Ties Of Miami, Florida Muslim Group Go Deep
Pipeline News ^ | 26 June 2006 | Beila Rabinowitz & William A. Mayer

June 26, 2006 - Philadelphia, PA - PipeLineNews.org - The arrest of 7 Miami residents in a domestic terrorism case has spawned abject disbelief among the left - "What's gone down in Miami the past few days is a sham, pure and simple," "a phony Al Qaeda connection and trumped up “terror plot."

The Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR] the Saudi funded Wahhabi pressure group trods similar ground, below culled from terrorist mouthpiece al-Jazeera:

"Given that the reported beliefs of this bizarre group have nothing to do with Islam, we ask members of the media to refrain from calling them 'Muslims,'" said CAIR spokesperson Ahmed Bedier.

Terror apologist Time Magazine, which vouchsafes tips from Islamist front groups and sifts every American operation in Iraq for signs of “murder," put it this way:

“But the recent arrests in Miami, and of 17 Canadian residents who allegedly plotted to use fertilizer bombs on sites in Ontario, ultimately raise more questions than they answer," adding in its supremely haughty way, “Instead Batiste asked for $50,000, radios, uniforms and steel-toed boots. Was the plan to blow the Sears Tower up or kick it down?"

Sorry guys, the 7 arrested in Miami are not only Muslims, they really don’t come from a "splinter" group but from the American Muslim mainstream.

"Founded in New Jersey in 1913, the basic tenet of Moorish Science is that all black people are born as Muslims and are descended from the Moors, a nomadic North African tribe. In the 1950s, the FBI tried to infiltrate the Moorish Science Church's activities, believing it to be involved in disseminating anti-American propaganda, but the investigation proved inconclusive and was dropped.

Batiste is said to have called his branch of Moorish Science the "Seas of David". His followers wore uniforms bearing a Star of David, and met for Bible study and martial arts practice in a Haitian section of Miami." - Telegraph UK "Sect inspired 'leader of Sears Tower plot", Toby Harnden

Jailed 1993 World Trade Center plotter Rodney Hampton El seemingly made a natural progression from the Moorish Science Temple of America to al-Qaeda.

The five Americans and two foreigners nabbed in the DOJ terror investigation were lead by Narseale Batiste who dubbed his group "The Seas of David," and derived his teachings from The Moorish Science Temple of America, which postulates that all black people are born Muslims, descended from nomadic tribes from Morocco. According to Batiste's father the "Seas" occupied themselves studying the Bible and martial arts in the warehouse where they lived. Inferring it was entrapment, the elder Batiste claims that it was there that Narseale met an agent of the Joint Terrorism Task force posing as an al-Qaeda operative who offered to help the obtain the materials needed to carry out their attacks, which prompted the men who swear allegiance to Al Qaeda were nabbed before "they were able to pose a threat."

Below the al-Qaeda oath of allegiance or "bayat."

"We swear loyalty to Sheikh Osama bin Laden, may Allah preserve him, and to the commanders of the global jihad, Sheikh Ayman Al-Zawahiri, Emir of the Believers Mullah Muhammad Omar, and Sheikh Abu Mus'ab Al-Zarqawi, and all the Jihad fighters. [This is] an oath of death for Allah."

Immediately after Attorney General Gonzales' press conference announcing the arrests, CAIR launched it's own media disinformation campaign, depicting Muslims as potential victims of an imaginary backlash and demanding law enforcement protection for "mosques and Islamic institutions," urging "the government to stop confusing the public by suing Arabic terminology when referring to the case," adding that "the reported beliefs of this bizarre group have nothing to do with Islam."

Fertilizer...

It took less than six months for the "Seas of David" members to take an oath of allegiance to al-Qaeda and then draw up plans to carry out a bombing plot which was to be "bigger than 9/11."

Founded in 1913 The Moorish Science Temple of America is the direct precursor of Louis Farrakhan's anti-Semitic hate group, Nation of Islam.

According to CAIR's definitional standards the NOI is not Islamic either.

Of note is the case of - member of the of the Moorish Science Temple, Clement Rodney Hampton El aka "Dr. Rashid" who is currently serving a 35 year jail sentence for his role in an early 90s bomb plot involving the UN and other New York landmarks including the Holland tunnel during the thwarted "Day of Terror."

After the sentencing, Clement Hampton-El warned the prosecutors "You'll be next...You knew when you brought me here that I was innocent. The day will come for you."

Hampton El, who had served in the US Army, left the Moorish Temple and started on the road to jihad. Along the way he acquired the name Dr. Rashid due to his medical training. Hampton traveled to Afghanistan for training and to fight jihad, returning to America for medical treatment after losing part of his leg in a land mine explosion.

After recuperating he joined forces with Omar Abdul Rahman [aka the "Blind Sheik" an Egyptian émigré, member of the Muslim Brotherhood and plotter, along with al-Qaeda theorist al-Zawahiri of the Anwar Sadat assassination. Rahman is currently serving a life sentence in the first World Trade Center bombing, 1993] at the Al Farouq mosque, a Brooklyn terrorist hub. Hampton lectured with Rahman throughout the US seeking recruits for jihad, as well as traveling to Europe, working as a "mule" personally carrying Saudi cash to America and Bosnia to fund terrorism.

So it seems that notwithstanding the elite media's attempt to dismiss the "Miami 7" as bumbling dupes lured into an FBI hatched plot of entrapment - or in CAIR's case advancing the absurd proposition that Batiste and his fellow soldiers were not really Muslim at all - the group to which they belong - Moorish Sciences had previously produced at least one major terrorist - Rodney Hampton El - who is currently serving a 35 year sentence for domestic terrorism.

That groups links to Louis Farrakhan's hate-filled philosophy as embodied in the Nation of Islam - including the phenomenon of Muslim recruiting in America's prisons - must be of great concern to the Joint Terrorism Taskforce.

As detailed in an excellent article about Imam Siraj Wahhaj [an unidicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing as well as a current CAIR National Advisory Board Member and contemporary of and staunch defender of Abdul Rahman] which appeared in the Wall Street Journal - Baptist to Nationalist in '60s, Siraj Wahhaj Now Preaches Self-Help and Militancy - it becomes clear that many of the followers of Moorish Science, the Nation of Islam and other lesser known black Muslim sects share much philosophically - the core of Islam [however mystical in some cases], black rage over supposed racism, rejection of the predominant white, western & Christian culture, militancy, anti-government sentiment and hate of whites. It should not be surprising that a journey started in one of these cultish groups could easily end up on the field of jihad.

"Like many black Muslims, Imam Wahhaj refers to his conversion as a "reversion" to Islam. Centuries ago, thousands of African slaves were pulled from tribes practicing varying forms of Islam and shipped to North and South America. Although their faith was submerged in slave-owners' Christianity, some elements remained. After emancipation, Islamic motifs surfaced in the rituals of black fraternal lodges and storefront religious organizations that rejected Christianity because of its association with slavery.

Founded in 1913 in Newark, N.J., the Moorish Science Temple of America adopted the Islamic crescent and star as one of its symbols. Members attached Arabic suffixes, such as "-El," to their names and greeted each other by saying "Islam." Founder Noble Drew Ali called for a return to Islam as a means of deliverance from racial oppression.

The Nation of Islam emerged two decades later in Detroit, attracting black migrants from the South. Its self-proclaimed messenger of God, Elijah Muhammad, taught his followers that whites were devils and that Christianity had helped enslave blacks. He urged them to seek economic independence and help rehabilitate drug addicts and criminals."

The kind of strict fundamentalism that can come from these religious sects is a perfect environment to foster terrorism. In Wahhaj' case there is no appeal from the dictates of Quranic law or his condemnation of American society:

"If Allah says 100 strikes, 100 strikes it is. If Allah says cut off their hand, you cut off their hand. If Allah says stone them to death, through the Prophet Muhammad, then you stone them to death, because it's the obedience of Allah and his messenger -- nothing personal."

CAIR's continued existence is an indication that multi-culturalism and political correctness are enemies in the WOT.

CAIR is an anti-American terrorist organization. It should be disbanded and it's leaders arrested and sent to Guantanamo.

Had the FBI not intervened, I suspect that someone of the caliber of Ramzi Yousef would have discovered the Miami 7 and taken them under his wing.

According to CAIR they aren't muslims.

According to Geraldo Rivera the insider set them up.

My father remembers the "Moors" handing out leaflets to black Americans in Newark, NJ in the 1950s. They have been around for a long time, and pre-date the NOI.

Alleged Terrorist Accused Of 5 FBI Attack Plans

UPDATED: 2:10 pm EDT June 29, 2006

ATLANTA -- One of 7 men accused of plotting to blow up the Sears Tower admitted to being a member of the group that swore allegiance to al-Qaida, and told investigators it planned to bomb five FBI buildings, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Lyglenson Lemorin, a Haitian national, also admitted to attending military training in Miami and other parts of Florida to carry out the mission, Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Getchell said during Lemorin's hearing before a U.S. magistrate.

Lemorin is one of seven men suspected in the terror plot who were arrested last week at the group's alleged hide-out in a Miami warehouse.

Getchell said the alleged ringleader, Narseal Batiste, told an FBI informant who posed as an al-Qaida member that with the terror group's support, he could get his plans going in less than a year.

At repeated meetings with the informant, Batiste said he admired Osama bin Laden, was honored an excited that al-Qaida would align itself with his group and said he had members in Chicago and Louisiana, Getchell said.

Authorities have said the seven men accused of trying to blow up the Sears Tower with help from al-Qaida never actually made contact with the terrorist network, and were instead caught in an FBI sting involving an informant who posed as an al-Qaida operative.

According to Getchell, Batiste was planning to take down the Sears Tower with dynamite. Batiste allegedly said he had worked in Chicago for a delivery firm and could count on former employees there to help plan the attack through the underground tunnel system in Chicago.

The prosecution asked that Lemorin be granted no bond.

Getchell said that even if bond were granted, Lemorin would be taken into custody by immigration authorities. Although he's a lawful permanent resident he can be deported based on his admitted alignment with a foreign terrorist organization.

Michael Ford

Ford’s mother and sister told a local TV reporter that Ford was a kind, caring person, who wouldn’t hurt anyone but that he said he was being teased at work because he’s a Muslim and he couldn’t take it anymore.
