Cannon Wins, America Loses... But We're Still Optimistic

After a huge push from the illegal alien lobby, Chris "King of Amnesty" Cannon defeated Team America endorsed Candidate John Jacob 56-44% in Utah's 3rd congressional district. While we are obviously disapointed in the result, the campaign was still a victory for the cause of secure borders. Cannon accredits his win to "extremists" who backed Jacob (i.e. us) and turned off voters. This couldn't be further for the truth. If he didn't have to hide from his pro-illegal record, Cannon would have coasted to victory. In order to defeat a political novice, Cannon had to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars out of his own pocket and from his corporate cronies, engage in a smear campaign against us and Jacob, lie about his pro-illegal record, and solicit support from George W and Laura Bush. The pro-amnesty lobby cannot afford to do this for every one of their politicians. While Cannon managed to slip by us this time, the lesson of this campaign is clear: if you want an easy reelection: secure our borders and oppose amnesty. Team America will be targeting other pro-amnesty candidates in the near future. READ MORE

I have no idea but your assertion to Deport that there were hundreds of federal judicial appointments waiting for "hearings and confirmations" was wrong on its face. As to unfilled appointments that do not require confirmations that could be in the thousands but that may be a very good thing given the size of the government.

Look I was responding to your incorrect assertion to Deport. You dug the hole so climb out of it on your own.

Oh, you can tell me that I'm wrong but you can't even tell me what it is?
Thats kind of you. So you don't know either.
So how do u know the article I read is incorrect?
To: tennmountainman
You were wrong that there were hundreds of Federal Judicial appointments waiting for congressional hearings and confirmation. I have no idea if you are wrong on hundreds of federal appointments at all levels that are open though I would say that hundreds is a low number given the size of the federal government.

I guess I'll have to do some homework and find that article.

THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF GOP COURT NOMINEES
I'll paste your assertion again......
Hundreds of GOP court Nominees..... My only question is where are all these court nominees?... There sure aren't going to the federal judgeships and the President has nothing to do with state judgeships.
If you are talking about the Federal US Attorneys then there are 93 of them that serve the 94 Federal districts. They are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. Now there are hundreds of staff attorneys that are hired and work in their departments but they aren't appointees nor need senate confirmation.

Bay Buchanan is poison. When are you guys going to learn that? Anybody she touches loses, usually by a large margin.
Tommy boy has wrecked his career by trying to take down a sitting GOP House member. Don't look for anybody to call him to campaign for them.

How many points do u think The President & First Ladies calls helped Cannon? There's more than one First Lady? When did this happen?
To: Republican Wildcat
"There's more than one First Lady? When did this happen?"
Utah?
I do find it extremely funny that they have to blame their humiliation on a President who is as popular as Herpes. What would have happened to Jacobs if "true conservatives" actually liked the President?
To: CWOJackson
In that district the President's approval rating was 66%, I believe.
To: Republican Wildcat
Good to know there are some conservative communities around.
