Chalk it up to tradition, fate or a higher power. Whatever it was, Marybeth D'Amico got her wish when she threw a coin over her shoulder into Rome's Trevi Fountain on her 28th birthday.
On June 21 D'Amico's first child Clara Nicole D'Amico was born at New Milford Hospital.
The little girl, who weighed 7 pounds, 5½ ounces at birth, joins three previous generations of her family with the same June 21 birthday: her mother, Marybeth, who's 29; grandmother Kathleen Garofalo, who's 58; and Marybeth's father's mother, Helen Garofalo, who's 87.
You read that right. The four generations are each 29 years apart in age. Their drivers' licenses and New Milford Hospital's birth records prove it.
From left: Marybeth DAmico; her grandmother Helen Garofalo; her daughter, Clara Nicole DAmico; and her mother, Kathleen Garofalo, were all born on June 21 and are all 29 years apart in age.
-snip-
Clara Nicole was born naturally and with no induction. D'Amico said she got a massage the day before the birth and an epidural on the night of the birth.
"Pretty amazing, huh?" said D'Amico's husband, Matthew, about the baby's birthday.
Well, cross my legs and call me mama...
It IS pretty amazing. Our family's achievement does not come close, but my dad, my sister, and my nephew all have the same birthday, July 16.
Or chalk it up to probablility which is the most likely culprit.
They probably all spent a night at the Holiday Inn.
My youngest son and his paternal grandmother share the same birthday.
If they were of Mexican ancestry, it might could be chalked up to too much partying on the "September 16 Mexican Independence" celebrations.
My grandmother's oldest child (girl) and her youngest child (my mom) were born on the same day 20 years apart
My oldest son shares his birthday with President Bush and Nacy Reagan.
Well, feed me corn and watch me grow!
Amazing! The odds of this happening are astronomical, I bet. Any math geniuses out there who can give the odds on this?
BTW, I share a birthday with my mother, my great-aunt, and two first cousins. My second son was born 11 hours shy of sharing a birthday with us. I don't think my OB/GYN has gotten over the disappointment yet.
Regards,
I share the same birthday with my twin brother. And, my twin sons share the same birthday. (okay, not so odd, is it?)
My mother and my daughter and me all have the same little mole on the same wrist...Ripley's Believe It Or Zot!
Well, listen to this: You and I went to different schools together!
Sorry, couldn't resist. Thanks for your note. Nothing like a happy mole story!
-Rex
Happy moles? You want happy moles?
Did you walk to school or take your lunch?
Don't know about that, but I do know that out of 27 randomly selected people, it is a lead pipe cinch that two of them have the same birthday (excluding the year).
Oh yeah, well, I share a birthday with Walt Disney and Martin Van Buren!
lol - Its almost like people are being born every day!
Gracious! Who'da thunk it?!
No, but your mother and my mother are both mothers.
Say, are you happy or married?
