UPI reports that Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, hasn't done so well after a promising start:
Former U.S. vice-President Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" has seen its ticket sales plummet after a promising start.
After Gore's global warming documentary garnered the highest average per play ever for a film documentary during its limited Memorial Day weekend opening, recent theater takes for the film have been less than stellar, Daily Variety reports.
The film dropped from its record $70,333 per play to $12,334 during its third week and its numbers have continued to fall as the film opens in smaller cities and suburbs across the country.
It's no shock, I suppose, that most people aren't interested in seeing propaganda films about the weather. But the topic is an interesting and important one which we wrote about quite a few years ago, and will try to return to as time permits.

The whole "record per play" stunt was a scam. It only opened in a very select group of artsy-fartsy theaters with sympathetic audiences and block ticket sales by political activists to inflate the numbers.

Well, know your target audience. When you're putting together science-fiction, you mold it and blend it to attract sci-fi fans, not tree-huggers. Even I know that.

Was at the doctor's office and picked up an old issue of TIME magazine. TIME, dumb idiots that they are, were fawning all over Al "The moron" Gore, and what a smash this movie was going to be. These liberal fools can't get one thing right. I mean any sane, objective person would know the Al Gore is unbalanced and nuts to the core.
Liberals should learn one basic truth when approaching Err America or any pay medium...In the longterm, you can't make money telling people to hate themselves.
Global warming hit Seattle this week or so. We had highs of like 85, 91, 95, 90, 88, and 80-84 several times. But, it moved on and today's high is 71 after a low at my house this a.m. of 51.
I saw it...I thought it was VERY entertaining!
