Dean: 'We're About to Enter the '60s Again'

America is about to revisit one of the most turbulent decades in its history, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean told a religious conference in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday. "We're about to enter the '60s again," Dean said, but he was not referring to the Vietnam War or racial tensions.

Dean said he is looking for "the age of enlightenment led by religious figures who want to greet Americans with a moral, uplifting vision."

"The problem is when we hit that '60s spot again, which I am optimistic we're about to hit, we have to make sure that we don't make the same mistakes," Dean added. See Video

We all better keep our eyes on the ball and remember that if they get the levers of power, it's going to be the devil's own time trying to get them back out again.

You are so right. It's scary.

Here's a religious statement:

"The poor you will always have with you. (You will not always have Me.)"

Have you ever seen Dean love his enemies? I've seen him screaming his head off like a madnman.

They don't seem to understand that Jesus would be AGAINST STEALING from others (i.e., muggings for taxes on income and similar) - "Thou shalt not STEAL". Regardless of motivation.

And just because a mugger took your money and gave it all to some poor sod in the projects, doesn't make *YOU* "saintly" (nor the mugger, of course). It makes you just a victim. YOU need to, YOURSELF, voluntarily give the money to the proper recipient (not the mugger) to gain points in Heaven!

You are to tithe regardless of what Caesar takes in taxes.

Free will, man. The politicos think they are being saintly for spending your money "better" than you can.

"'Scuse Dean while he kissed the sky"

How appropriate, given that Libs are so into Homos.....

"'Scuse Dean while he kissed this guy...."

EVERYTHING fashion-related in the '60s stunk, if you ask me. The hippie-wear absolutely, and the straight-line frumpy potatoe-bag dresses the better women wore stunk. The long sideburns with flat well-trimmed hair - stinks.

Never mind the furniture and architecture. It was all bad, if you ask me.

"We know that no one person can succeed unless everybody else succeeds."

...even if they don't want to or are too lazy to succeed. This is a recipe for nobody succeeding...which is why socialism has never worked.

The '69 was my favorite. I have not been inspired by any camaros after '69.

Excellent! I'm sure many 60's lyrics fit Dean perfectly.
And since he wants to go back there....maybe we can have a "New Democrat Woodstock". If we can find any of the artists that haven't OD'd yet, it would be quite a show. Hillary and Bill would LOVE it! Maybe Bill could play his sax!

"What is surprising -- and disturbing -- is that he can urge a massive expansion of government and denounce the Democrat mistake of creating a 'culture of dependence' in the same speech."

Hey, it makes sense to the DemocRATS.
