Rush Limbaugh was briefly detained Monday at Palm Beach International Airport when customs agents inspected the conservative talk show host's luggage and found Viagra that belonged to two Florida doctors, authorities said.
"He was not arrested," Palm Beach County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Pete Palenzuela said.
Limbaugh's attorney, Roy Black, issued a statement through a spokesman saying that agents found a "non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes."
Limbaugh, 55, of Palm Beach, and three others arrived on a private jet from the Dominican Republic to the General Air Facility at PBIA on Monday afternoon, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Service said.
Agents searched the plane during a routine customs inspection and found a pill bottle that was not in Limbaugh's name, said Jennifer Connors, a Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman. Agents confiscated the medicine and called the Sheriff's Office, which took over the investigation.
"Mr. Limbaugh was cooperative. He gave a statement that he had a bottle in his possession and that it was Viagra," said sheriff's spokesman Paul Miller, who noted that the prescription was filled in Florida.

If I was Rush, I'd get on the air today and say the Viagra was not for sex - but in the event the taildragger gear failed.
It has always been my understanding that it is illegal to take prescription drugs that are prescribed for someone else. The viagra was prescribed to his doctor (or two doctors, in some stories).
Anyway, Rush had to know that he was under scrutiny, so why bother. Take a few tabs down and come back with none.
That said, what the heck was he thinking? Rules are rules, and the ones regarding flying with prescription meds are there for a reason. If he was worried about embarrassment, he should've left the Viagra at home.
The NYT and MSM is more concerned about invading the financial privacy of terrorists overseas transactions than with Rush Limbaughs medical privacy.
I wouldn't be surprised if a liberal at the airport saw Rush and decided to call in a hoax report of drug smuggling.
He's lucky. This could've resulted in a stiff sentence.
The good news is Rush probably paid for his Viagra via his tax deductible contributions to his HSA as opposed to GM retiree's or SSI recipients.....
The one thing WJC doesn't need, I'm guessing...
LOL!

I really hope it IS Viagra, and not something else... opiate addiction is a devastating thing, not easily overcome. If Rush is slipping back into looking for fixes, he really needs to be committed to a rehab institution for several months minimum, for his own sake. The legal issues are secondary here (as much as the libs will gloat). Rush will always have his audience - a few months won't matter in the long run.
Medications should be labeled so they are identifiable.
That little blue pill is pretty easily spotted. Why the heck didn't he just fly with it in the prescription bottle?
Sounds like another invasion of Mr. Limbaugh's privacy to me. Since when is it the job of airport security personnel to make sure you're not illegally using Viagra?
What are those rules? Do they apply to private jets?
They're there to screen. Meds get screened. Fly with your scrip, and you won't have a problem :)
but I guess God wants Rush to be even stronger than he is. My prayers are with you Rush.
It's a story. Why are airport personnel inspecting passengers for Viagra? Why do they think it's their job to enforce this plea bargain? And would they also inspect the luggage of John Doe with equal vigor?
