MIAMI, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media:
While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey.
nope....was in little bottles with my hubby's name on them, and was a complete different script....no questions asked...
In Dick Cheney's case, at least...:)
Yikes. Please please please please never post that again.
Come on, wise up! You know that the rules don't apply to libs and DemoncRATs! Where have you been? Get with it. Jeeez.

I hope people that say "If you're doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about" are thinking about this.
Government airport security was supposed to be increased to prevent terrorism.
But government is run by people. Given the tool of being able to detain and rummage through Rush's "person and papers", the human failings of the security people allow them to commit a crime against you, too. What's next? Sudden IRS audits? "Hmmm. How exactly can someone with your mortgage and late fees afford a vacation, hmmmm?"
If it had been a robot digging through his drawers, maybe this would be different. But it is human beings that are compiling databases, sneak-and-peaking, etc. And a large percentage of them hates Republicans, Rush, Coulter, and you and me!
Of course, we ditto-heads know that Rush is okay...but, others are looking for something to pounce on to make him look bad. By this meaning, THEY know who Rush is and when the name didn't match the person...viola...instant controversy.
Why doesn't Limbaugh go to a doctor in another state? They are stalking him in Florida. That said, isn't he divorced?

Oh, no, that's real.
And it got several FReeperettes some slapped hands!
Well, this hits on my solution to the 'problem' of wiretapping, airport security, bank records, sneak-and-peak, whatever....
Let government have "all these extraordinary powers" to fight terrorism, simply include language that says if one of these methods inadvertantly discovers evidence of some other 'victimless' crime like tax-fraud or something like that then that evidence may not be used in a non-terrorism related prosecution.
Make sure that we give them broad tools to go after terrorists---BUT NOT COMMON 'CRIMINALS' LIKE YOU AND ME. (And Rush!)
Single people have sex, too, you know. At least that's what I've heard.
Why is the Palm Beach Sheriff's office releasing the legal prescription that Limbaugh has?
Okay, I have plenty of hot air today, I'll bite.
You mean beside the obvious, like the Sheriff is a democrat and he was also the West Palm Beach Police Chief (the city the DA's office is located in)? Rush lives in a county where the legal system is dominated by Democrats, Rush knows this and should beware. They are watching his every step, just waiting to pounce on him.
Maybe what the Sheriff did was within the law, but he and the DA (democrats) have at least one thing in common, Rush as "their" #1 political enemy. Democrats get "rewards" from their party when they help out. Like Lois Frankel a state representative who was out helping Gore steal the election in 2000. I speculate that she was rewarded with party support for her run as Mayor of West Palm Beach which she won in 2003. The sheriff and DA want to be in good standing with their party.
The Sheriff (Ric Bradshaw) is busy trying to expand the department by taking over city contracts in the western communities of Palm Beach County. One in particular, requires the help of the DA. Suspended Belle Glade Police Chief Albert Dowdell said Monday he's a scapegoat for a city intent on replacing its police department....Dowdell said he feared by August, the sheriff's office would have taken over, making his job and his hearing moot.
Bradshaw is also trying to get the contract with Royal Palm Beach (another western community) PBSO Poised To Take Over RPB Police Dept...it appears increasingly likely the force will be folded into the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office...With the PBSO in charge of law enforcement in RPB, as it is in Wellington, there will be a more seamless flow of services, Bradshaw explained.
Also from our ever enlarging Sheriff department...20 deputies accused of cheating on online tests...Twenty sheriff's deputies accused of cheating on tests have been reprimanded, stripped of their career deputy status and ordered to repay any extra money earned with the higher paygrade.
It isn't all that hard to figure out. DA's democrat + Sheriff democrat + local media democrat + Rush, a very noisy republican = dot your i's and cross your t's.
See, I told you I was full of hot air today. I have to run now, gotta get the doors locked and get busy erasing all my hard drives before they come after me :-)
If you were a cop I would want to live in a bunker away from your gun. I am sure Rush doesn't give 2 hoots what you think. But I know they love you at DU.
Yeah, but cases of eggs have been broken, and the "war" is a losing proposition. Can't even buy over the counter cold meds any more without a big hassle.
It's for The Children. (Except those with allergies.)
"There they go again, Rush has a simple painkiller addiction like the rest of us, picks up a few hookers in the Dominican, which is perfectly understandable, and then U.S. Customs falsely charges him with a crime, instead of releasing him because he's Rush Limbaugh."
I say maybe you folks pull your head out of the sand.
I work for a doctor and he gets lots of samples and he gives out lots of samples -- and the patient's name isn't on the sample, he normally notes it in the patient's chart.
