MIAMI, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media:

While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement examined the 55-year-old radio commentator's luggage

That's either really weird or poorly written. ICE doesn't check luggage, they only show up if CBP calls them for some reason.

I wonder what the ethics say about a physican that would issue a script for someone and use a false name in place of the person for whom the script is for?..

According to the story, it wasn't a false name, it was the DOCTOR'S name. The doctor knew for whom the prescription was intended. There was no fraud; just an attempt to try to have some privacy.

LOL! See it does happen. I was always curious how they figured out the insurance and often wondered if my doctor ended up paying for my medication. :0)

You'd be amazed by the number of guys who take Cialis and Viagra without really needing it. They just want to go for a long time without their body dropping out on them.

The Sheriffs department just violated Rush's rights under Hipaa for disclosing the medication after they had information that a doctor had prescribed the drug regardless who's name was on the bottle.

I took a hockey puck in the eggs one time. They didn't break, but I am against breaking any eggs in any kind of war on any kind of drug...:)

You're lying. You are into looks only. ADULT women see with their hearts. Rush is hot as all get out, he's witty, intelligent and charming. He respects women and he's got huge..............
sense of humor. What a mature woman sees when she looks at Rush is someone that will be entertaining and challenging even when you're not having sex. In a long term relationship you spend lots more time out of bed than in it. Weight can come and go, shallow goes to the bone.

So if I read this right, when my doctor gives me sample meds from her office, I am committing a crime since the package doesn't have my name on it?

It's sad that several poster's on this thread are passing judgement about a medical condition.

Friggin' grow up!
