Angel Maturino Resendiz has hours left to live. Last Wednesday, a Houston judge ruled that Resendiz is mentally competent to be executed. Now the man linked to so many brutal murders is facing his own end

Oh, he's human, all right. Entirely too human. If he were, say, a mad dog we could simply put him down and be done with it. His behaviour would have no moral content; a mad dog just does what it's programmed to do. He's human, he has a moral conscience and free will. He rode the train through my city within 3 blocks of my home during that time. Everyone was aware of him being on a killing spree and how he was traveling.

I imagine the town square in Huntsville, Tx. is a hive of activity right now.
Dan Rather went to college at Univ. of Sam Houston there, and somewhat got his start covering executions. He sat in the corner cafe awaiting the time to walk over to the prison.
That - and covering hurricanes made him a 'star'??
