Oh, he's human, all right. Entirely too human. If he were, say, a mad dog we could simply put him down and be done with it. His behaviour would have no moral content; a mad dog just does what it's programmed to do. He's human, he has a moral conscience and free will. And with that capacity, he chose to commit multiple gruesome murders. He's worse than a mad dog; he's a willing servant of the Evil One.
