Limbaugh Detained At Airport Image
Joy Purdy Reporting
(CBS4 News) WEST PALM BEACH Sources have confirmed to CBS4 News that conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs Monday evening.
Limbaugh was returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic when officials found the drugs, among them Viagra.
Limbaugh entered a plea deal back in April in a previous case where his charge of fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions was dropped under the condition he continue undergoing treatment for addiction.
Limbaugh had admitted to being addicted to pain killers on his radio program and had entered a rehabilitation program prior to that arrest.
I would be just fine with people keeping something like that private. In fact, I would prefer it. I wish Bob Dole had.
What in God's name was Rush doing in the DR?
Hear that. But, the interesting thing is Palm Beach media even breaking this in light of past history. Story upthread said he went on his way with no charges.
If that is true, which I expect it is, and the usual suspects use FR for show prep, this will break big tomorrow!
Privacy only applies to liberals
Golf trip.
Why would he risk passing through the airport with illegal drugs?
If they are drugs given to him by a doctor with prescription, that would NOT be illegal.
On vacation with some of the producers of "24".
"Any prescription drug is "illegal" w/o a prescription but I think narcotics are governed by stiffer laws (sort of a guess, sorry for the pun). I wouldn't be surprised if Rush fell off the wagon, addiction is like that. But I wouldn't jump to that conclusion."
International travel with certain prescription drugs can also require following stricter rules. One small for instance....in addition to keeping the pills in the original container, depending on the drug, one must also carry a 'note from the presecribing doctor'.
With any normal person, Rush would have been treated with sympathy for the painkiller prescription (Brett Favre??) and this Viagra thing would be minor, with MAYBE the doctor getting in a little bit of trouble.
short answer YES you can use any name you want as long as you are not attempting to defraud or conceal.
Thus you are allowed to use another name as long as you own up to using it.
Keep in mind also, viagra in not on the narcotic schedule.
Als the worst case scenario is going to be a trial on the original trials. In that case the prosecutor is mega screwed and does not want to go to trial other than for politics.
Remember many hollyweird types put their medications under their old name for "privacy reasons".
Was that a Viagra joke?

I guess it is ok to profile a white guy. So are all of those drug junk E-mail that I get selling legal or not?
Viagra huh? Well, I guess the secret is out with regards to what Rush went to the Dominican Republic for :-D
That will become the story. Reporters are probably making reservations to get down there at this very minute.
"At least, I hope they do."
Yes, you have to call ahead and tell them when you'll be crossing the ADIZ and fly directly to a customs port.
Fishing trip, for the stateside Bobbies. Under orders, no doubt.
If hes bringing drugs into the country then he is at FAULT...duh!
There is something called an off button on your radio....use it
Yes....I do.
THIS time, I wish there would be some way that Rush could nail THEM.
If it was just Viagra....if I were Rush, I would just get on the radio tomorrow and start talking about all of those girlfriends in all of those states he was kidding about these last few months...
So many women, so little energy....lol
Agreed...
If he had narcotics, I would assume that would have been the headline. We will wait and see. But if Viagra was the best they could come up with, I have my reservations.
I hope he hasn't pulled a boner, I really have a soft spot for Rush.
