That's exactly why I do not admire him today. Also: Remember his impassioned Senate speech condemning Clinton...then voting against his impeachment?

LIEberman spoke on that issue. He said he wrote the speech then discussed it with Clinton. He allowed Clinton to write the second half of the speech letting Clinton off the hook.

This is a man without principles and deserves no respect at all.

During the dem convention in Boston, I caught him speaking to a group during that week. He opened his remarks by saying that the 2000 election was stolen by Bush.

Even four years later he had learned nothing and continued on his evil ways.

Lieberman had the power -- right then -- to change history and bring the Democrats back to some level of respectability and accountability. But he blinked. He didn't have the courage. In contrast, Barry Goldwater led a group of Republicans into the Oval Office to meet with President Nixon -- he left office a few days later. That's what Bubba deserved -- Lieberman let him off the hook.
