We rightly complain about him wanting to disenfranchise the military votes in Florida, but he was also a staunch supporter of vouchers for poor children in failing schools.

He threw all that away when he joined gore-the-bore.

That's exactly why I do not admire him today. Also: Remember his impassioned Senate speech condemning Clinton...then voting against his impeachment?

You have the situation in Bosnia exactly right.

My son served in X42 regime during that period of time.

He agrees with your assessment.

To make matters worse, if that is possible, Weasley Clark dropped cluster bombs on civilians, bombed a civilian train, and bombed so much debris into the Danube that no commercial traffic could move goods to the people all along the Danube for the longest time. Causing terrible hardship the the civilian populations along the river. He bombed the water supply, the home heating oil supply, etc.

Not a word from the media about those atrocities.

Argh! Hagel drives me crazy. Plugs is taking credit for the current plan announced by Iraqi gov't, and Hagel is letting him get away with it (athough we all know better). We are staying the course the President set forth long ago, we stand down as they stand up, and Hagel just doesn't get it. Furthermore, Hagel and Wolfie of course, fail to bring up the fact that it was Kerry who first identified a "cut and run" terminology when he was running for President and accused the President of working towards a cut and run plan. This is why I can't stand Hagel; he doesn't have any facts or the stones to discuss them. Argh!

We get it on an hour delay. Hillary was just called the warrior queen. Good description.

"...You'd think though, since Kerry is the bigger name, and Russert needs the ratings (he's second place to Stephanopolus), he'd seek out Kerry. But I guess agenda trumps ratings. Kerry makes a fool of himself..."

I hate to say this, but I actually think it's more honest of them to have Feingold than Kerry if they're going to discuss this issue.  Kerry is such a loser, and carries so much baggage from a nearly continuous stream of lies, that there is never an opportunity to honestly examine the point of view they want to get across.  Feingold is a leftist freak, but he can put forward the message and allow viewers to examine it on the merits, not what they think of the messanger.

And with Feingold they get their own base to tune in, the moonbats.  I bet they're even counting on getting good notices from Kos (it was probably part of the deal to turn the show over to Feingold).

The real problem for me is that, as you say, agenda trumps ratings.  They are choosing to put forward Feingold as a more capable spokesman for the extreme leftist's point of view and they offer up no rebuttal.  If the topic is something that conservatives are doing or saying they'll seek out the least effective spokesman (or better yet a RINO who disagrees with the position) plus they'll offer up three quarters of the show to rebuttals.

"I am watching Russ Feingold on MTP and first thing I begin to curse"

I just yelled STFU! at Feingold on TV. Was in a good mood, but his statement:

"al-queda is winning"

put me over the top.

Good point.. this just makes it worse.

After the last election, there was a push to deny Specter the Chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee. This was ultimately unsuccessful but only by a breath.

If the Reps retain control of the Senate, this effort should be renewed and any promises given by this fool should be rejected.

Unfortunately, we knew before he was completely unreliable and a loose cannon on the Deck, so we only have ourselves to blame.. but the groundwork should be laid to remove him.

Motto, "One way or another - Specter goes to the back bench" He much much more richly deserves this than Trent Lott, who perhaps should get this seat.

LIEberman spoke on that issue. He said he wrote the speech then discussed it with Clinton. He allowed Clinton to write the second half of the speech letting Clinton off the hook.

This is a man without principles and deserves no respect at all.

During the dem convention in Boston, I caught him speaking to a group during that week. He opened his remarks by saying that the 2000 election was stolen by Bush.

Even four years later he had learned nothing and continued on his evil ways.

I miss all the Sunday shows every week. I 'watch' them here on FR and on rare occasion catch Fox News Sunday late in the day when it's re run.

Much like the Willie Horton slur on the first President Bush.

They never ever mention that it was albore who used that story against Dukaka in the primaries.

Lieberman has garnered some praise recently from those (including some freepers) who do not have the long memories that you and I have. I do not trust anyone who has betrayed my trust before.

Specter cannot be trusted. If he is pushed out of his chairmanship on Judiciary he will stop at nothing to deny the President any votes on nominees.

I suspect he might even pull a Jeffords if the opportunity arises.

He's our deadly enemy when he wants to be. Not to be trusted on any count.

Thats what I do.

The closest local TV station is 40 miles away, just snowy static and ghosts show up.

I watch the rerun on FNC Satellite.

You know, during last Prez election time - politicians were running awy from Kos crowd, because of his "Screw Them" comments & pulling away ads from his site.

Same thing will happen this cycle too, and if you could believe they don't even need republicans for that.

"Congressman Peter King has just announced (on WABC radio's Religion on the Line Program) that when he comes on the FOX News Program with Chris Wallace he will call on the Attorney General to institute a criminal prosecution of the New York Times, under the Espionage Act and the Comint Act."

And, he did in fact, just do so on FNC. Of course, Specter danced around the issue and wanted to hear/know more. Too bad he didn't have the same reaction when the NSA 'wire taps' story came out. Specter did say that, based on what he knows, the banking issue is different than the NSA and he felt that the Admin has every right under the law to do what they've been doing. Of course, I suspect if he feels the Judiciary Committee needs to investigate they will, and, he added that he wants to hear more from AG Gonzales when he appears in a couple of weeks.
