Lieberman had the power -- right then -- to change history and bring the Democrats back to some level of respectability and accountability. But he blinked. He didn't have the courage. In contrast, Barry Goldwater led a group of Republicans into the Oval Office to meet with President Nixon -- he left office a few days later. That's what Bubba deserved -- Lieberman let him off the hook.
I like to think/believe that God moves in mysterious ways...by Lieberman's blinking, we were spared having Algore in the Oval Office for even 5 minutes.
