Arlen Specter=ego on parade. I was not snookered by Senator Kennedy. I am the all important chair of the Judiciary Committee.

Excellent email Laverne. You may want to forward a copy to Rep King's office also. Wasn't he very, very critical of the reduction of funds to NYC?

Everyone fails to note the "reduction" was only the amount that had been increased last time for rebuilding efforts, etc.

I don't think there was an actual reduction in their amount formally agreed to.

He's pretty arrogant for someone who had to have his @$$ pulled out of the fire in his last primary.

"Why does Levin try to look like Ben Franklin with those glasses he's wearing??"

A few years ago I was quoted in the newspaper....

"Carl Levin tries to look like Ben Franklin, wouldn't he seem smarter if he tried to act like him?"

After that was printed, Levin did cut his hair, but he kept the glasses...lol

Do you remember his Ben Franklin hair-do?

Specter is the leader in the Senate of obstructing the US needs in fighting this war. Specter just said we must give New York Times a free pass for breaking the law based on the Supreme Court ruling on prior restraint.

Prior restraint says that the government cannot act before the act to stop the press. It assumes that if the Press indeed is in violation of the law, the damage must be done first before something can be done. This allows the Press the choice of conscience and to take the risk of legal sanctions if indeed they choose to unjustifiably abuse the public trust.

The Court insisted that the damage must be done before the state can act. Well now it is done. So it only follows that prosecutions should follow. Its silly to argue that because the Country is to have now ability to prevent Press organizations from compromising National Security, that once they have that the rule that prevented them from preventing the damage, then implies that we cannot hold these criminals to account.

FTN on and Schieffer has already listed all the Democrat talking points and mis-represented every last point made by Casey and the Iraqi authorities.

Boxer and Lugar. Wild Thing and Sleepy Thing.

Lugar presumes NYT report on Casey's plan is accurate. (FTN on now.) Talking about "horrific violence" in Iraq. Says troop draw down now is not likely. Schaefer is having trouble understanding Lugar (and I sympathize with Schaefer on this).

A serious mistake it turns out. We would have been better off with a Democrat than having Specter in this position. The Blogosphere almost forced this guy off of the Judiciary but we lost our will to press what we knew must be. Now we are paying the price.

Everyone should take a peek at Boxer on FTN. This loony looks like someone just rolled her out of bed and she forgot even to wash her face, let alone put any makeup on.

She is even worse looking than normal but at least she sounds the same, stupid.

Boxer is harping on Republicans refusing to start a timetable. It turns out we (the Rats) were on the same page as General Casey. (Now we know the point of the leak).

She also says we have lost control of an exit strategy and Maliki is pushing amnesty on those who harmed our troops and it is humiliating.

She is without doubt the most annoying person I have seen on TV in a while.

Reports on Maliki (according to Lugar) is that he is trying to negotiate with the Sunnis. Sunnis don't have the numbers and they don't have the oil. Lugar oppposes amnesty. Says we would advise through ambassador.

Lugar is absolutely the WORST at articulating administration policy.

Now they are on to North Korea.
