'Right now, I would not encourage him to leave. If he chose to resign as majority leader until these matters are resolved, that's probably not the worst idea.' Reread it again. Where did Tancredo call for DeLay to resign?

"These fools don't care about facts, it's all about their hatred of Tancredo."
Speaking as a resident of District 22 in the Lone Star state and a long time conservative, I called DeLay's office and said that I thought he should step down too. I voted for the man every time, but he was embroiled in enough controversy to choke a horse. I don't think he should have run in the primary either if he knew he was going to leave. Now we're stuck without a decent candidate. In my books, ethics will trump party and politics every time. That's what Tancredo is all about.

Jacob was speaking openly about his faith and how much evil there is in the world Uh no, Jacob said how he was being singled out by satan and how satan was thwarting his personal Congressional bid.
It was all about Jacob and not about the world.

"Good GOD! Are you REALLY defending this guy blaming bad business deals on SATAN? That is nuts"
You gotta do better than that.
I am telling you Satan is part and parcel of the Christian religion.
The Devil is constantly refereed to in the Bible for creating every kind of havoc in people's lives.
You are either a Christian and believe in the existence if Satan, or you are not.
Nothing "nuts" about that.

Tancredo doesn't hate Cannon, he's against Cannons position on immigration and the PAC is against open borders, not just Cannon.
BTW, get back to me when you get a clue.

THis is what he told the Washington Post
Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) said yesterday that it "may be a productive move" for House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Tex.) to step aside while charges against him are investigated, but added that he believes the accusations are "trumped-up charges" by Democrats.

Actually what he was doing was saying that since he decided to run that he has had a run of bad luck and felt the devil was working against him. He also said some one read those comments and say (as you have) that he has a screw loose... regarding Satan he said the following:
Jacob explained that, when people try to do something good, there are frequently forces that align to stop them.
"We have a country that was created by our Heavenly Father and it was a country that had a Constitution and everyone who came to America had strong faith. If that can be destroyed that would be the adversity. . . . Whether you want to call that Satan or whoever you want to call it, I believe in the last eight months I've experienced that."
I, too, am a Catholic Dane and I'm the last person who is going to pooh-pooh the Devil and the roll he takes in our lives.

Cannon supporters are all Satan worshippers.

What do you think THIS means?
Tancredo did not support, in fact attacked DeLay, when DeLay needed support. Is that the hallmark of a conservative or an opportunist?

There's a difference between acknowledging the Devil exists and blaming him because your campaign is in the toilet.

In other words you can't name a single CONSTRUCTIVE thing that Tancredo actually DID. Why gosh, he ONLY highlighted the illegal immigration problem. And voted conservatively on a whole host of other issues. I'm sorry he's not a RINO like your buddies in California.
Tancredo was the first Republican to call for Tom DeLay's resignation
Uh, he didn't call for DeLay's resignation please re-read your post again and stop posting lies.
To: Jameison
Yeah so every time he goes bankrupt he can blame SATAN. That is a sign of a weak willed immature teenager.

Do you believe that Satan, aka Lucifer, is an actual living being, with the ability to affect human affairs in this world?
The question is for both of you.
To: Texasforever
Good GOD! Are you REALLY defending this guy blaming bad business deals on SATAN? That is nuts. You know I'm curious TF, what's your dog in this hunt? Most of us who aren't from Utah make it clear it's because of Cannon's open border position that we oppose him. It's sort of like that clown from Massachusetts Ted Kennedy.
But why are you so fanatically obsessed with some remark Jacob made that is apparently having no effect on the voters in Utah? Don't you think it's time to move on to some other obsession or has the RNC told you to keep hitting it?
To: Dane
"And you overcome those adversities and not whine and blame satan for them."
Millions of Christians in America and in every corner of the world, praise God for their good fortune and attack the Devil for some ill fortune.
Nothing "nuts" about that.
You could try reading The Bible.

Anyone pushing for Cannon is only doing so because they desire the enactment of the Kennedy amnesty scheme that Cannon seems to be so enamored with...
June 01, 2006 | Dailey Herald:"Obviously, there are a lot of reasons to vote against this bill," Cannon said of the Senate legislation, which he described as an "oddball freak show at the circus."

I'd be suprised, if you sat down and had a talk with him, if he didn't say Satan had a hand in his drinking problem and Christ helped him to overcome.
