By now much of the nation has finally heard the truth: George Bush never lied about weapons of mass destruction. By now most of America is realizing that the president, who has been pummeled mercilessly on the fact that such weapons were missing, is deserving of public apologies from every Ted, Dick and Harry the Senate can cough up.
If you have been living under a rock, here's the short measure of it. On Wednesday, Sen. Rick Santorum and Rep. Peter Hoekstra revealed to the press for the first time the declassified portion of documents demonstrating that U.S. military had uncovered a minimum of 500 weaponized munitions that could in fact be used to deliver mustard and sarin gas.
Santorum confirmed on my radio broadcast (hear the audio) that these weapons were the kind used to kill 5,000 Kurds by Saddam. Saddam only needed three of these missiles to accomplish that feat we've uncovered 500. That's enough nerve agents to kill more than 8.3 million people, or the Island of Manhattan or the city of Chicago.
The lying leftists who will get all of us killed if we don't remain vigilant were very slow to respond.
The New York Times, which has run hundreds of stories in the last two years on the global war on terror and attempted to reiterate on its news and editorial pages that the president lied to the American people remained completely silent on the issue the day following the discovery. The Boston Globe committed all of two paragraphs. The Washington Post five. Yet combined these newspapers used thousands of paragraphs with huge, large font headlines to say again and again that President Bush had lied.
When I asked Sen. Santorum the real meaning of it all as it related to the American position prior to the liberation of Iraq, he responded quite simply: "It meant that Secretary of State Powell told the truth when he went before the United Nations Security Council."
As I have reported previously, we've had firsthand knowledge that some of the weapons were removed from Iraq via outfitted 747 and 727 jets to Damascus. Gen. Georges Sada testified to as much on my show (hear the audio). But at that, there was always a suspicion that not all of the weapons had been able to be moved. I believe the president firmly believed that they would in fact be uncovered by the respective United Nations inspection teams. But let's face it the last U.N. inspections team that actually found what it was looking for was immediately kicked out.
The announcement by Santorum also pointed out something else of keen importance. The declassified version of the report indicates that there are many more weapons likely to be found even yet in Iraq.
There may be perfectly legitimate reasons for waiting on the announcements of such and even delaying the announcement weeks to months after the discovery. U.S. soldiers could be made vulnerable if the location of such stockpiles were made known to the jihadists in Iraq, who are composed of mostly foreign fighters. Telegraphing in advance the knowledge of such weapons' existence might entice two sets of weapons seekers to emerge.
It is also worth noting that none of the leftists in the United States Congress have apologized for lying to the American people. They have not offered apologies to President Bush, and to add even more pain to their misery, the Senate rejected John Kerry's "pull out of Iraq now" bill by a vote of 86 to 13.
For a season or two, the left has had what they thought was the smoking gun for the president and his party to say he lied to the American people about weapons of mass destruction. What they would never address is how so many foreign intelligence agencies also concluded the same thing as the U.S. based on the best available evidence at the time. Heck, even John Kerry looked at the evidence and concluded that Saddam had weapons and was a threat. Turns out all those intel agencies, our own CIA information, the administration, and most importantly, our fighting men and women are now all justified. The U.S. was right all along.
That smoking gun has now been turned on themselves. For having told the American people their own form of a lie that WMDs did not exist and to do so so many times, they deserve every ounce of scrutiny and request for public apology they receive.
It is also a disgrace that the media have done no more than yawn at the story or give meager back-page mention of it when they were willing to tout long and loud that the president lied with much less evidence that he did. Their callousness to the truth, their unwillingness to correct their positions or to report the facts and their willingness to slander a commander in chief in the midst of wartime are deserving of subscribers canceling their subscriptions in mass numbers. For if Americans cannot depend upon the information they read, then they should get their information from more reliable sources.
As Americans, we should stand proud today that even though the left ran the spin for a while, the truth is coming out.
And, as Scripture says, the TRUTH will set you free.

Its late, give me a break.
bttt
Thanks, John!
And it's about time.
Now, if only the truth will come out about how the media has been blatantly distorting and lying about the Iraq war for over three years and have actually been able to influence some events by their lies.
The media has the blood of American troops and civilians and innocent Iraqis on their hands.
And they don't care.
The UN Inspectors were in Iraq to verify the destruction of WMD,,,NOT,,,, to verify the existance of WMD. There existance was a given. Saddam had used gas on Kurds and had NOT denied his possession of WMD. The MSM has been outright crimminal in this whole thing. So has the RAT Party!!!
I've already emailed 5 people. Thanks, John, for posting this.
I doubt that this proposition is correct. The LaME (Liberal Media Establishment) has worked very hard to put it under the rugs or discredit it.
I have to object to the first sentence of this article. To my knowledge, neither ABC, CBS, nor NBC have reported on this story to date.
Anyone who's been in the military knows that inventory control there is not an exact science. Five hundred shells could easily have been misplaced, especially if it was a case of a few here and a few there.
Because this is so, and because the shells were generally in poor condition, the notion that they were a 'stockpile' of WMD is ludicrous. They were almost certainly leftovers from the stock of WMD everyone knows Iraq had and trying to make anything more of them just makes us look ridiculous.

However, If you look at the UNMOVIC working documents http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1653841/posts
You will note that in 2003 there were 550 artillery shells containing mustard that were missing from inventory as documented by the U.N. and as quoted in 2003 The Sulfur Mustard contained in artillery shells that had been stored for over 12 years, had been found by UNMOVIC to be still of high purity. It is possible that viable filled artillery shells and aerial bombs still remain in Iraq."
Bottom line: When John Kerry and his ilk can get away with saying "The President needs to come clean with the american people, there were NO WMD found in Iraq" asserting that he led this country to war knowing there were no WMD and hypnotizing the American people to believe that lie for political gain (sedition). Then 500 Mustard artillery shells are a very significant find because it proves that most of the liberals are the liars not the President....
My letter to Flordia Congressmen and Senators:
Sirs,
0n 6/22 Senator Rick Santorum spoke of recently declassified documents that state that the Military had found over 500 artillary shells filled with Mustard Gas and Sarin. The media was quick to put out reports that (unidentified) sources in the DOD stated that the CW agents in these munitions were degraded and usless.
I submit the UNMOVIC report (attached) which was used as a precursor to the Iraq War to determine by the UN what was and was not accounted for by Sadaam Hussein. This document makes a direct correlation to these found munitions and their importance and also states that after 12 years the Mustard Gas was still lethal and potent. So for the media to report that this WMD is not lethal or that it is seriously degraded is in fact a misrepresentation of the facts (Lie).
Now who is lying the UN or the Media?
America deserves nothing less then the absolute truth regarding these and other weapons found in Iraq. The liberals have used the Bush lied Mantra to politicize the issue of WMD and make this seem a war of Lies and deception. They have continued their Vietamization of this war in an effort to regain political power, in my opinion no greater dis-service has been done to our country then this. The critics of the Bush administration have hypnotized rational Americans into believing as quoted by John Kerry "There were NO WMD in Iraq". The defination of NO and 500 artillary shells, et.al, substances is strinkingly different and yet we see very little reporting done on the subject.
Why?
T'n'B & LLS - fire for effect...
Grut - quit while you're ahead. Come to the light.
Too bad for our side, the Bush admin never rebutted the "no WMD" claims. In fact, Bush has admitted time and time again that he relied on bad intelligence.
Too little too late.
Did someone call me?
Seriously, this would make a great campaign commercial:
Santorum confirmed on my radio broadcast (hear the audio) that these weapons were the kind used to kill 5,000 Kurds by Saddam. Saddam only needed three of these missiles to accomplish that feat we've uncovered 500. That's enough nerve agents to kill more than 8.3 million people, or the Island of Manhattan or the city of Chicago.
Show clips of the devastatation done to the Kurds by three WMD's.
Voice over--Kerry, Kennedy, and the rest of the liars repeating their "Bush lied, people died, there were no WMD's" mantra. Then, show the 500 missiles that were found, and flash to The Sears Tower, The Empire State Building, Yankee Stadium, The Statue of Liberty, The Golden Gate Bridge, etc.
Voice over: "We've already uncovered enough Weapons of Mass Destruction to kill every single human being in these cities. Who really was lying about these weapons?"
BUMP for a later read at work.
yes, it's a terrible truth that the Bush media machine has been disjointed, fumbling, even downright sluggish and semi-retarded at times... but they've never lied, never abused the people.
They are certainly guilty of weakness and indecision, but not of actively seeking to harm the country - that distinction is reserved for the leftist media and their Dhimmi-crat quislings.
