Qatar-based Al-Jazeera television has aired a video of Al Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri vowing to avenge the death of the network's Iraq frontman Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
Zarqawi was killed in a United States air raid in Iraq on June 7.
In the video, Zawahiri is seated in front of a picture of Zarqawi.
He addresses US President George W Bush directly.
"Yes O Bush, none of us is killed without us avenging him, with the help of God," he said.
"Do you remember, O Bush, how the lion of Islam, the mujahed [holy warrior] Osama bin Laden, God keep him, swore that America will not be able to dream of security until it becomes a reality in Palestine and all Muslim lands?"
Zawahiri also blasts Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, saying he "trades with Islam" for power.
He describes US Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad as "the Afghan apostate".
Zawahiri says Zarqawi "died under bombardment" and not in hiding, and never shed his "explosives belt".
I'm tired of these cowrd sob's hiding behind cameras acting all macho. That guy really needs to f#$ked in the ass by a pig and have that sent out through the internet.

I'm guessing Intelligence is looking at this video pretty hard to determine how he meant that phrase. If Bin Laden is dead, they might wait another month or two before releasing that info, like, maybe a little closer to November ;)

Bin Laden the Lion of Islam. Bwahaahahhha, I nevers aw a lion sneak from one place to another trying to hide from pursuers. Lates call him the jackal of islam Much more appropriate.
I've thougt about that possibility many times. If a Beslan type scenario occurs here in the US (and it would likely be more than one school... possibly 10-12 all over the country) then that would be the breaking point. All hell would break loose and it would be time to clean house.

AQ will do the damage it can do with Z alive or with Z dead. The difference is that with Z dead they do not have the focus, drive, and ability of a master to direct their activities and their actions will be less efficient. Z's death has no upside for them, regardless of the breastbeating frenzies of the Islamist Press (NYT, WaPo, etc.)
Their "vengeance" is simply those things that they would do if Z still lived but the actions will not be so well planned or targeted without the Master's hand.The MSM contention that killing Z just makes the AQ madder and its depredations worse is puerile at best. AQ and friends will do their worst against us regardless. Their worst is just not so effective or skillful with Z dead.

And where are you sleeping tonight Zawahiri, in a nice hotel? In your family home? Or, in some tight place straining to hear if that small noise in the night might be a drone or some far away bomb release. Do you examine your associates closely to determine the Judas in your midsts.
