FBI arrests 7 in domestic terrorism probe - Raids being conducted in Miami area

>WASHINGTON (CNN) -- FBI agents were raiding sites in Miami, Florida, on Thursday in connection with a domestic terrorism investigation, law enforcement sources said.

The FBI said one search warrant was being executed in the Liberty City area of Miami. Officials said no weapons or bomb-making materials had been found in the searches so far.

"We are conducting a number of arrests and searches, and we'll have more about that when the operation is completed, probably tomorrow morning," FBI Director Robert Mueller told CNN's Larry King in an interview to be broadcast Thursday.

Outreach to lots of lonely young women too.

Just this week I saw a group at the beach, all wearing their yards and yards of cloth, of course. Most of them appeared to be Pakistani (there are a couple of Pakistani-owned convenience stores around here, and the man with them certainly looked Paki), but there were two sad-looking, overweight white girls floundering around in their way excessive amounts of cloth. Their faces looked like the Anglo-American country-type face you see around here a lot.

Some of these girls, who are mostly lower income, get into Islam because they hook up with black men who have become Muslims in prison, but others are basically just the sort of lost soul who is the classic cult victim. They're looking for somebody to control every aspect of their lives and tell them what to do, and Islam is certainly willing to do that. I think if one sees Islam as a cult, complete with mind-control and isolation from mainstream society, rather than a religion, it is much easier to understand it and its appeal to certain types of people. No different from Jim Jones or the Heaven's Gate cults, although a good deal more vicious.

Well, the 70's in Miami, while single, in my late 20's was ...Outstanding. :-)

Back to the riots...
Each night as things slowed (3AM) starting about the 3 day, the streets were ruled by gun tottin rednecks cruising up and down 441 & 27th st in pickup trucks. LEOs said and did nothing.

My Uncles warehouse was on 62Av in Liberty City. They rammed cars into it and couldn't get in. :-)

Good to hear that was done...despite all the "empty the asylum" moves

Remember, the Mariel boatlift was 26 FRIGGIN YEARS AGO and has NO BEARING
on Miami today.

BUT...given that sociopathy appears to have a partial genetic element
(or influence),
if these bad-boys of the boatlift spawned some progeny before being locked up...
it may have some bearing on what goes on today.

Even if you disagree with Stout's assertions on incidence of
sociopathy in Miami, the rest of the book is an interesting look
at that group of humans able to live without the impediment of guilt.

And I wasn't knocking Miami or any particular group.
Miami just had the misfortune to be the recipient of a nasty trick by Castro.
And after spending 10 years in Los Angeles...I know there are
sociopaths all around.

For the record, and I know it has been published in other places too, but on the day it happened, there was a BOLO out for three Middle Eastern men in a brown truck. Jayna Davis and other investigators all found evidence that there was a ME connection as well.

1. See Bush sent all our troops over there and we're in danger here at home. It's just like Katrina; If Bush did his job those poor downtrodden young black men, suffering from his trillions in deficits and lack of education, health and job programs that were cut by said Bush, who happen to come from Louisiana and are half illegal... except for the Haitian... he's a full illegal.
