Report: Hundreds of WMDs Found in Iraq Wednesday, June 21, 2006 WASHINGTON The United States has found 500 chemical weapons in Iraq since 2003, and more weapons of mass destruction are likely to be uncovered, two Republican lawmakers said Wednesday. "We have found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, chemical weapons," Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., said in a quickly called press conference late Wednesday afternoon.

"It doesn't matter if you have chemical weapons, what matters is ability and intent."
Well, if you swear to the world that you don't possess any chemical weapons, degraded or otherwise, and indeed have stockpiles, then YES it matters. FYI, they were still extremely lethal. I will read the thread further to see if I missed your redactment of foolish statements, but I'm not holding my breath.

I just watched Pete Hoekstra live on my local nightly news. He is the chairman of the House intelligence committee and my congressman. He said that he was not aware of this info until recently. He stated a person told both him and Santorom to find this particular document. They both searched for two weeks before it was found. He is not sure why the committee was not made aware of this info last year. He was asked if it was because the shells point to China, Russia and France as the MFG, He said no comment.

The DNC has two categories these days: either they have an undisputed stance (decided by the media of course), or there is a conspiracy. Either they won an election, or because of a conspiracy they had no chance.
As sure as the sun comming up tomorrow you will hear a conspiracy theory over this if it is reported at all.

The liberals claimed Bush lied... and three years later they've end up with egg on their face! What was it about those non-existent Weapons Of Mass Destruction again that led them to claim we were deceived into going to war in Iraq under false pretenses? Looks like the truth will win every time. About this news, the Democrats, the moobats and the Drive By Media cannot be happy. Their party line about Bush's incompetence, deception and getting us bogged down in an unconscionable war has been blown to smithereens. Like like Hannibal Smith on the "A Team" would say, "I love it when a plan comes to together." And the Democrats are the "Z Team" of American politics - no plan ever comes to together for them and now they're on the run. (laughing)

they had chem suits to protect them from their own weapons - get it? And not from US use of, say, CS? Or even more simply, maybe CBW gear became standard issue during the Iran-Iraq war, when they did use gas, and persisted as standard because nobody wanted to be responsible for removing it.
As I said, not conclusive.

Don't forget all the atropine injections we found Right - time for our media to remind people - the Republican Army had the chem suits and the atropine shots to counteract - in case of blow back.
Why did they need them if they didn't think they'd be ordered to use the chemical weapons?
Fortunately, instead of standing and fighting, it didn't take long for them to fold and run - deserting their posts enmasse. ( Bet Saddam is still chewing on that one. Oops, guess not chewing today - on hunger strike. I wish him great success.) I wonder if they didn't remember the Gulf War and, knowing they couldn't win, didn't want to deal with either the possibility of the wind shifting and bringing the chemicals back on them or of being brought up on war crime charges later.
