After being in Vienna for the EU-US summit for talks ranging from the Iran nuclear standoff to ways of reducing the West's foreign energy dependence, President and Mrs. Bush arrived in Budapest for a brief visit. The Bush's and SoS Rice listened to the Vienna Boys' Choir, among other cultural activities.
President and Mrs. Bush participated in a roundtable with foreign students in Vienna.
Yikes! My computer is in the shop and I am on an old one! The pics aren't showing up! I will just have to wait until I get my other one back cause I don't want to miss this!
Very interesting--thanks for posting! It is amazing to me how someone can even conceive of such a beautiful, not to mention huge, building, let alone figure out how to build it--and without modern machinery. Just amazing.
LOL!!
How many do you have? Are you going to keep them all?
I think the newly-graduated Merchant Marine and the Academy redefined "second chance."
I have to second that.

Like you, fine but busy. Worked and did some editing this morning. Went for a "quick" grocery shopping trip. Ran into a friend I hadn't seen for awhile and of course we talked. Was just saying "goodbye" when a good friend I hadn't seen in a REALLY long time walked in, so talked with her. The "quick" shopping trip took over two hours! But it was fun to talk to both of them so worth it.
I woke up before 5 so am already thinking about going to bed. But have to make supper for the kids and mr.h first.
Is your "busy" "fun" busy? I hope so. :-) Just stay away from those nasty people on other threads; stay here where it's happy and friendly. :-)
What a lovely picture of our next President?, Condoleeza Rice!
America!
Fine thanks
Three. Someone tossed them in the trash where I work. The guard called me because I had rescued other animals from here. I'm going to keep one and place the other two. They are about six weeks old now and so cute. I'll send you some links to photos later on this evening if you'd like.
Thanks Gretchen...
Hi Snugs...in honor of Laura...and in SPITE of what that nasty ALA man said, I would like any picture of Laura on my toaster, please.
Young Franz Josef Haydn was a student there......an exceptionally fine soprano. But in early adolescence, he had to be rescued by his father shortly before they tried to turn the boy into a castrati and keep him a soprano forever.
I'm thinking they don't do that any more and that they just get new boys........ :)
Thanks for the ping Gretchen, great job! Prayers for President Bush and Mrs. Bush's safety and peace of mind. May God bless our wonderful leaders. Amen!!
Just finishing up now, snugs. Thanks, he did.
I'm serious about taking a break.
I'm trying to read only a few news articles, and not even go down into the comments posted. Too tempting if someone starts bashing......
It's sort of like keeping chocolate out of the house if you shouldn't eat it. It makes it easier to avoid.
As for the busy..........we've been out of town twice in the past few weeks, and going to two different places in the next two, and this is the week that I get everything else done. I think it can't be done.........but I'm trying! :)
I love all of the pics tonight.
Thanks so much GEM.
Hats off to Heinz Fischer for coming to the defense of the US from questions asked by the MSM.......thanks Gretch for the Dose tonight
OUCH! (empathy cry there)
I think you must be right.
